Our Climate & Infrastructure Capital segment is central to the delivery of these ambitious targets, investing in large scale renewables and infrastructure projects across Ireland, the UK, Europe and North America.

This is a unique opportunity for experienced individuals to join this high performing, ambitious team, as we build out our international platform and directly contribute to global climate action goals.

As part of the ROI & UK Team, you will be required to support best in class portfolio management and risk assessment across Climate & Infrastructure Capitals growing portfolio.

Key accountabilities;

• Create annual reviews, waivers and consents requests for transactions in the portfolio - clearly identifying and analysing risks and mitigants for consideration by the relevant Credit Authority.
• Diligent monitoring of portfolio performance, ensuring close relationship with key sponsors to drive effective management of the portfolio.
• Monitor operational performance of customers by reviewing technical reports and construction/operational updates from customers or advisors
• Monitor financial performance and covenant compliance by reviewing and understanding financial statements and financial models with an ability to provide clear analysis. 
• Maintain update to date knowledge of relevant industry, sector and key players
• Form an integral part of the risk management culture in AIB and adherence to codes of conduct, laws and regulation
• Contribute to ongoing Credit Risk model development
• Perform financial modelling analysis and run detailed sensitivity analysis
• Support credit reviews and internal audit engagements for the Climate & Infrastructure Capital portfolio
• Manage and help develop more junior staff members
• Communicate the impact and key risks and mitigants associated with same
• Make a difference through strategic lending to circular economy and sustainable businesses

What you Will Bring ;

• Relevant 3rd level qualification
• 3+ years' experience within a similar area (preferably Project Finance or Specialised Lending) which could include Banking, Advisory or Industry
• Strong Financial Analysis, Strong credit skills and Proficiency in financial modelling
• A proven awareness of sustainable lending,
• Analytical mindset and results focussed, who is also a Team player with strong communication and influencing skills
• Knowledge and experience of the development and business application of credit risk modules utilised for the calculation of regulatory capital or ECL would be beneficial
