What is the Role:
The Coupa Sustainment team sits within Strategic Sourcing. Strategic Sourcing is a dynamic and progressive function, responsible for all external expenditure, providing bank-wide focus and leadership, delivering value, risk management and regulatory compliance, through our external partnerships and suppliers, providing services across all AIB geographies, including the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, UK and US. The team is a core specialist support department within Enterprise Delivery who manage the full lifecycle of third-party services.
The key purpose of this role is to act as the subject matter expert for the Coupa Procure-to-Pay (P2P) platform, supporting the end‑to‑end procurement lifecycle, automation, compliance and operational excellence. You’ll lead the design, deployment, and optimization of Coupa modules, ensuring efficient, transparent, and compliant procurement services. This is a pivotal role for those passionate about Coupa, SAP, operational excellence, digital transformation and driving adoption across the bank and with our suppliers.

Key Accountabilities:

Serve as the primary SME for the Coupa platform, supporting internal Sourcing teams, the business and suppliers.

Lead the design, configuration, deployment and optimisation of Coupa modules now and in the future including Procurement, Invoicing, Sourcing, Contracts, Projects, Supplier Management, Risk and Analytics.

Manage Coupa release updates, testing and change management, including impacts to the Coupa mobile app.

Monitor system performance, identify enhancement opportunities and implement improvements and integrations (including API and SAP integrations).

Drive user and supplier adoption through training, documentation, SOPs and ongoing support.

Ensure data integrity, governance, controls and regulatory compliance across the Coupa platform.

Provide procurement reporting, dashboards and analytics to support decision‑making.

Supervise and quality‑assure work undertaken by other members of the System Support team.

Provide excellent customer service across procurement and payment processes.

Contribute to wider Strategic Sourcing and Procure‑to‑Pay transformation initiatives.

What You Will Bring:
-

Minimum 5 years Coupa technical experience. Demonstrable experience and qualifications as a Coupa technical SME, supporting functionality adoption, implementation, best practice, process simplification and driving adoption in a large/global procurement role.

Deep understanding of procurement processes, Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P), Source‑to‑Pay (S2P), contract lifecycle management and supplier onboarding.

Hands‑on experience with Coupa modules, configuration and system integrations with ERP and finance systems, including SAP.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills.

Experience of change management, user training and driving system adoption.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
