Location/Office Policy: Central Park, Block H, Leopardstown / 3 days onsite
What is the Role:
The Marketing Director, Operations & Planning will own how Group Marketing plans, prioritises, invests and delivers at enterprise scale. The role is accountable for turning strategy into clear, prioritised and well governed plans, with marketing effectiveness and evidence led insight at the heart of decision-making. Bringing together planning, investment, governance and delivery, the role ensures Marketing operates as a single, connected system across Brand, Product, Media, Effectiveness, Compliance and agency partners. This is a high impact leadership role responsible for building a modern Marketing Operations function that drives clarity, discipline, pace and continuous improvement across everything Marketing delivers.
Key accountabilities:
- Lead the operating engine of Group Marketing, ensuring strategy is translated into clear, prioritised and well governed plans.
- Centralise planning, investment governance and delivery, enabling predictable, efficient and strategically aligned execution.
- Embed marketing effectiveness and evidence led insight at the heart of decision-making, informing prioritisation, investment and delivery.
- Ensure Marketing operates as a single, connected system, working across Brand, Product, Media, Marketing Effectiveness, Compliance and agency partners.
- Provide disciplined financial stewardship across the Group Marketing budget, ensuring strong oversight, governance and control across team owned budgets and agency spend.
- Build and lead a modern Marketing Operations function, strengthening planning discipline, budget governance and operational excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation across marketing workflows, improving pace, clarity and consistency of delivery.
What you will bring:
- 15+ years’ senior level experience in marketing operations, planning, programme management or commercial operations, gained within a complex or regulated environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end planning, prioritisation and delivery across a large, multidisciplinary marketing function.
- Proven experience providing disciplined financial stewardship across a marketing budget, including oversight of team owned budgets and agency spend.
- Strong track record embedding marketing effectiveness, using insight, measurement and optimisation to inform planning and investment decisions.
- Relevant third level qualification (Level 8 or higher) in Marketing or a closely related discipline.
