What is the Role
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping how AIB engages with its customers. Sitting within the Personalisation team, a fast‑evolving and strategically important area of the Bank, you will help transform customer engagement through actionable insights, analytics‑driven decision‑making, and intelligent use of data.
This role is central to enabling synchronised, data‑driven inbound and outbound communications, supported by advanced analytics and automation. You will work at the intersection of customer behaviour, technology, and strategy—helping AIB deliver more relevant, timely and meaningful customer interactions.
As a Senior Data Analyst you will contribute to the delivery of customer engagement analytics, supporting the Bank’s strategic, customer and sales objectives while ensuring compliance with regulatory and data governance standards.
Key Accountabilities:
- Analyse customer behaviour and context to identify and deploy the most appropriate engagement prompts across inbound and outbound contact channels.
- Partner with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation to deliver and optimise lead provision that supports proactive customer engagement.
- Apply analytical and statistical techniques to extract, model, interpret and visualise data, enabling evidence‑based decision‑making.
- Support the ongoing development of personalised customer journeys through analytics‑driven insights and recommendations.
- Identify and resolve complex contact‑related analytical challenges, including data quality issues, technology gaps and anomalies.
- Ensure all analytics outputs adhere to AIB’s regulatory, compliance and data governance requirements.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree (2.2 or higher) in a numerate discipline such as Science, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Engineering or Econometrics, or an equivalent qualification combined with relevant experience.
- 3–4 years’ practical experience in analytics, ideally within Financial Services, Marketing or Customer Contact environments (experience in equivalent domains will also be considered).
- Experience and understanding of Marketing Analytics teams & Customer Engagement Channels delivering key strategic analytics projects in an environment that includes regulatory and compliance obligations when using data and contacting customers.
- Strong analytical and numerate capability, with a clear passion for data and analytics.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Javascript required.
- Experience creating, interpreting and presenting analytical outputs to business stakeholders.
- Experience with HTML, and template/content design and management for customer communications is an advantage.
