What is the Role:

 

The Performance and Analytics function is a core element of the Customer First Strategy, within the Chief Customer Office (CCO), working with teams from across CCO and other areas of AIB group to help business leaders understand our customers and make more informed, data and insight driven decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team that is building the foundations for long-term success to shape awareness of how Analytics can drive the agenda in CCO.

The purpose of our team is to champion analysis of customer behaviour, using analytical driven insight to drive data-led decision making to improve customer outcomes and drive value for the business. We support and enable a wide range of business teams through analysis of customer behaviour, identifying trends and patterns that will inform and measure customer strategy and improve customer experience.

 

Key accountabilities:

 

  • Deliver high‑quality analytics and insight outputs that support operational and strategic decision‑making.
  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling insight stories using advanced visualisation and communication skills.
  • Identify customer behaviour trends, performance drivers and value opportunities through deep data exploration.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the Chief Customer Office (CCO), Data & Analytics and other business functions to understand needs and deliver impactful analysis.  
  • Support the development and alignment of customer metrics, segmentation, and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Design, build and optimise analytical datasets, dashboards and scalable analysis pipelines, ensuring repeatability and efficiency.
  • Champion automation and continuous improvement, reducing manual effort and enhancing robustness of analytical outputs.
  • Collaborate closely with data engineering, data science and visualisation teams to ensure consistent, scalable delivery.

 

What you Will Bring:

 

  • Strong experience in customer analytics, with a proven ability to analyse data, identify insights, and provide clear, actionable recommendations that influence business decisions.
  • Deep technical experience in data analysis, including proficiency in SQL, Python, BI/visualisation tools, and experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Excellent data storytelling and communication skills, with ability to translate complex concepts into compelling, customer-focused narratives for senior stakeholders.
  • A customer-first mindset, with a passion for understanding behaviours, improving experiences and contributing to AIB’s Customer First Strategy.
  • A proactive, curious mindset with a strong focus on accuracy, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Strong organisational and accountability skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, ensure quality delivery and uphold high standards for your team.
