Role: Senior Data Quality Analyst, Dublin
Location/Office Policy: Central Park, Dublin, Remote Centric
What is the Role:
The Senior Data Quality Analyst plays a key role in advancing AIB’s established data quality and control environment across the organisation.
The role focuses on enhancing how data quality is measured, reported and governed — ensuring data remains reliable, well-controlled and fit for use in decision-making, regulatory reporting and risk management.
Sitting within the Data & Analytics Office, the role operates across technology, data and business teams. You will support the continued embedding of practical, enterprise-wide data quality and data management standards, partnering with stakeholders to strengthen how data is created, moved and used within critical processes.
This is a high-impact role with strong enterprise exposure, offering the opportunity to work with key stakeholders across AIB. You will help address complex data challenges and drive continuous improvement in how data is designed, controlled and used at scale.
This role has specific accountability for:
- Data quality and control environment – Implement Data Quality rules, thresholds and monitoring, and work with delivery teams to improve how data is captured, transformed and managed to ensure reliability and end-to-end control
- Apply data management practices in delivery - Contribute to the embedding of data lineage, metadata and master/reference data practices to improve consistency, traceability and reuse across domains
- Deliver insight and embed scalable ways of working - Produce high-quality data reporting that highlight risk, support governance and enable informed decision-making
- Embed practical data standards and controls - Apply data standards and controls in a pragmatic way, ensuring they are consistently adopted and deliver tangible improvements in data quality
- Solve data and business challenges that shape future data and technology capabilities - Work across business and technology to identify and address data challenges, contributing to the evolution of how data is designed, controlled and used in future systems, processes and regulatory reporting
What you Will Bring:
- Experience working with data across both business and technology environments is required
- Experience working with data in a technical or data-focused role, including understanding how data flows across systems, processes and reporting, with a good understanding of how it supports decision-making, operations and risk
- Ability to simplify complex topics and communicate clearly with stakeholders across business and technology
- A proactive, accountable mindset, with the confidence to challenge, ask questions and support improvements in data quality and processes
- Working knowledge of data quality, governance and control concepts, including data lineage and standards, with experience applying these in practice
- A strong interest in solving problems and improving how things work, with the ability to operate across both business and technology
- Data flows and root cause analysis experience
- A relevant third-level qualification or equivalent experience working with data, analytics or technology
