Location/Office Policy: Hybrid Basis (3 days a week on-site) / Molesworth Street, Dublin
What is the Role:
The Sustainability Transformation Team is responsible for optimising the Bank’s strategic ambitions across the ESG agenda whilst delivering on ESG regulatory obligations. The team explores a range of options to deliver a transformational level of change, within challenging timelines, to reinforce and build on AIB’s position as a recognised leader in sustainability and ensure the Bank delivers on external commitments, ambitions and ESG related regulatory requirements. Given the transformational nature of the team, a high degree of flexibility is required to deliver on competing priorities, from customer opportunities to risk management to regulatory obligations.
This Sustainability Transformation Manager will be part of a dynamic team responsible for developing, communicating, and embedding ESG considerations into our business, with a particular focus on the credit process. They will work extensively with both Sustainability and business unit colleagues including stakeholders at all levels across the Group to support the delivery of both strategic enhancements and regulatory obligations.
Key accountabilities:
- Extensive engagement and collaboration with teams from across the Group to support the growth of green and transition lending. This includes Retail Banking, Capital Markets, Climate Capital and UK.
- Supporting the development and delivery of solutions which will address sustainability priorities and the embedding of these across the Group.
- Support the embedding of sustainability into risk management practices across the Group, with a particular focus on credit risk management.
- Leading and enabling sustainability transformation initiatives, including the delivery of key strategic and regulatory deliverables, ensuring structured execution, clear governance, and effective integration of sustainability across the Group’s operating model.
What you Will Bring:
- A highly motivated self-starter with 5+ years relevant industry, business, and/or transformation experience.
- 5+ years’ experience and proven delivery across the customer facing businesses with an in-depth knowledge of our front line processes and customer journeys.
- Candidates considered for the role will have a strong track record of success in driving progress within front line teams.
- Understand all facets and drivers of the business and make decisions with recognition of short and long-term implications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to clearly articulate proposals to senior stakeholders.
- Highly skilled in building enduring relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Must be a clear role model, with demonstrated capability of developing and coaching people, empowering and trusting in people.
