Corporate Finance Manager

We are seeking an experienced manager or associate director to join our Corporate Advisory team in our Dublin office.
At Goodbody, Managers and ADs play a strong part in the origination and execution of the firm’s advisory engagements. The successful candidate will work closely with Directors on strategic advisory transactions in multiple industry groups, with opportunities to gain significant exposure to sell-side and buy-side M&A advisory, capital markets and capital raising transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with Directors in all facets of business, including idea generation, marketing, transaction evaluation, and transaction processing.
- Develop pitch materials and offering memoranda for M&A & Capital Market transactions, private financings, and other advisory projects.
- Take a leading role in transaction execution, including due diligence, serving as a primary point of contact for clients/counterparties, and participating in the negotiation of transaction agreements.
- Direct and manage a wide variety of quantitative analyses, including DCF, LBO, comparable transaction, and accretion/dilution analysis.
- Monitor relevant transactions, capital market trends, company financial statements, industry, regulatory, and other economic information.
- Ensure the quality of client deliverables by having a strong attention to detail.
- Mentor and develop interns, analysts and executives at the firm.
- Utilise relationships developed while at the firm to source new business opportunities from both existing and target clients.
About you:
- 5+ years of experience at a highly regarded investment bank or accounting firm or M&A / corp dev role with a large company.
- Demonstrable M&A and/or Capital raising execution experience.
- Experience managing the day-to-day aspects of client relationships and projects.
- Ability to operate independently in an environment of rapidly changing priorities.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA degree in finance or accounting or ACA/ACCA/CIMA is preferred.
