About the Financial Modelling Manager role

Goodbody Corporate Finance assists clients in areas including strategic advice, buyside and sell-side assistance, debt and equity financing whether in private or public markets, refinancing and restructuring assistance. We also assist our clients with capital markets transactions including initial public offerings, class 1 transactions, reverse takeovers and fundraisings.

 

We work on project-type engagements lasting from several weeks to several months, working extensively with significant corporates, domestic and international banks, other financial institutions, private equity and other investment funds offering team members the widest exposure to acquisition and financing related activity. We also work closely with growth stage private companies, owner-managed businesses assisting them with value maximisation and growth capital.

 

Financial Modelling Manager Accountabilities include:

  • Development and review of detailed financial Microsoft Excel models for use in transactions
  • Lead the review of financing arrangements, business plans/projections and financial statements
  • Review and prepare complex reports and presentations to clients.
  • Client-facing interaction with senior decision-making executives on a day to day basis
  • Mentor and develop intern and analysts at the firm.
  • Contribute to the development of fee-generating opportunities

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA degree in finance or accounting or ACA/ACCA/CIMA is preferred.
  • 3+ years of transaction experience in a corporate development, corporate finance or lending environment
  • Demonstrate superior numerical and financial skills and a strong understanding of financial statements.
