About the Fixed Income Analyst Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Fixed Income Analyst/Strategist to join our investment team. This is a broad and intellectually demanding role covering credit selection across Euro Investment Grade and High Yield markets, as well as contributing to macro strategy and broader asset allocation research.
Fixed Income Analyst Accountabilities include:
- Conduct fundamental and relative-value analysis across Investment Grade and High Yield corporate credit.
- Evaluate issuer capital structures, financial statements, covenants, and risk profiles.
- Provide investment recommendations with clear articulation of thesis, risks, and catalysts.
- Analyse sovereign and quasi-sovereign issuers.
- Track macroeconomic, political, and policy developments influencing global debt markets.
- Contribute to house views on interest rates, inflation, and global macro trends.
- Support development of top-down fixed income strategy for multi-asset portfolios.
- Build and maintain quantitative and analytical frameworks, dashboards, and screening tools.
- Automate processes or enhance insight where possible.
- Develop and implement quantitative models to support portfolio construction, valuation screens, and scenario analysis.
- Leverage data science techniques to identify patterns, anomalies, and factor exposures across fixed income markets.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to take ownership. This is critical for role.
- 3–5 years of experience in either investment management, equity research, fixed income research, credit analysis, or strategy. Individuals with a keen interest in financial markets, with quantitative based experience/background would also suitable.
- CFA exams or willing to complete within a reasonable time frame
- Knowledge of macroeconomics, central bank policy, and cross-asset dynamics.
- Strong quantitative ability, including experience interpreting large datasets and applying statistical techniques.
- Familiarity with building or using quantitative models for fixed income or macro research.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with Python or R is an advantage.
