About the Infrastructure Engineer role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic Information Technology team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting and enhancing the core infrastructure that underpins our business operations. Working closely with senior IT professionals, you will gain hands-on experience with enterprise technologies, contributing to the security, stability, and scalability of our IT environment while developing your skills in a collaborative and inclusive financial services firm.
Infrastructure Engineer Accountabilities include

Assist IT Infrastructure & Service Management staff with daily operational tasks

Perform Firewall rule changes and mange internet whitelisting requests

Support application control & restriction policies (e.g. App Locker)

Conduct routine Active Directory Administration (user/group management, GPO’s etc.)

Monitor and maintain endpoint security and compliance
-
Assist with patch management, software deployment and Windows build deployment using SCCM
-
Actively engage in Change & release management ensuring alignment to required change governance structure and procedures

Assist with Third Party Risk Management including changes management for existing vendors, vendor onboarding and ongoing supplier management

Act as point of escalation / level 3 support for IT Service Support team.

Support incident and request resolution in line with ITIL practices.

Document procedures and continually contribute to knowledge base articles and documentation libraries
Qualifications and Experience
-
1 – 2 years in a similar IT support or infrastructure role
-
Exposure to enterprise IT environments, preferably in financial services or similarly regulated industries.

Hands-on experience with basic infrastructure tasks such as user provisioning, network access control, and endpoint configuration.
-
Familiarity with IT security principles and best practices.
-
PowerShell scripting for automation and administration tasks.
-
Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (basic rule management and monitoring).

Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy.
-
Microsoft SCCM (System Centre Configuration Manager).
-
Windows Server and Windows 10/11 environments.

Microsoft Azure and AWS concepts such as Virtual Machines / EC2, Virtual Networks, Storage.

Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, AWS Fundamental, or similar) are advantageous.

Willingness to pursue further certifications in infrastructure and security.

Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
