About the Internal Auditor Role:
- Support the Head of Internal Audit, Senior Audit Manager, Audit Lead in delivering the Internal Audit plan, including delivery of end-to-end audits in line with group methodology.
- Evaluate and provide reasonable assurance that risk management, controls, and governance systems are functioning as intended and will enable the organisations objectives and goals to be met.
- Report risk management issues and internal control deficiencies to Head of Internal Audit /senior manager and provide recommendations for improving operations, in terms of both efficient and effective performance.
- Develop and maintain Internal Audit documentation and reports in line with group methodology.
- Establish and maintain professional and credible relationships with range of stakeholders including senior management, heads of business units, AIB and the Central Bank of Ireland.
- Evaluate regulatory compliance requirements and programmes.
- Engaging in continuous education and development.
- Development and coordination of the implementation process for new audit methodologies, procedures, checklists maintained in line with industry standards.
- Performing Internal Audits, evaluate risk responses, and design test procedures.
- Implement and direct management of corrective actions.
Qualifications and Experience
- 3 to 5+ relevant experience within investments or financial services Knowledge of Risk Management, Regulatory requirements, Governance.
- Professionally qualified, Capital Markets/Fund management.
- Relevant third level degree.
