About the PMO Analyst Role:
The PMO Analyst provides structured support to the Business Change PMO, helping to ensure that change activity across Goodbody is well governed, accurately reported, and consistently tracked. The role supports existing PMO capability by assisting with governance administration, portfolio reporting, demand tracking, and control activities, enabling the PMO to operate effectively and ensuring decision making forums are supplied with reliable information.
PMO Analyst Accountabilities include:
Governance, Portfolio & Change Oversight Support
• Support the coordination and administration of PMO governance forums, including the Change Leadership Committee, Executive Change Council, and Programme/Project Steering Committees.
• Assist with the preparation of agendas, papers, and supporting materials.
• Capture and maintain meeting minutes, decisions, actions, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Support the maintenance of the enterprise change pipeline, including programme/project registers and tracking of small change, operational, and incident driven requests.
• Monitor progress across actions, milestones, and dependencies, highlighting overdue or higher risk items to the PMO Lead where appropriate.
Reporting, Risk & Data Management
• Collect, consolidate, and maintain data inputs from delivery teams to support:
o Status reporting
o RAID and dependency tracking
o Benefits tracking
• Produce draft reports, dashboards, and portfolio views using agreed PMO templates.
• Perform basic data quality checks to ensure information is accurate, complete, and timely, flagging gaps or inconsistencies for follow up.
• Assist in preparing portfolio, risk, and issue summaries for governance and decision-making forums.
PMO Standards, Tools & Knowledge Support
• Support the maintenance and consistent use of PMO governance artefacts, including templates, reporting standards, and core process documentation.
• Maintain accurate change and portfolio records in agreed tools (e.g. Azure DevOps), including intake, backlog, and prioritisation views.
• Support document version control and structured storage of PMO artefacts.
• Assist with the collation of lessons learned, closure documentation, and governance evidence to support internal reviews, audit requests, and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Third level education required; holding relevant qualifications from the IOB or an equivalent qualification is desirable.
- 1–3 years’ experience in a PMO, project support, or reporting role
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- High attention to detail
- Comfortable working with structured trackers and reporting templates
- Good Excel skills (tracking, pivots, basic reporting)
- Ability to work across multiple initiatives simultaneously
Desirable
- Exposure to governance forums or programme reporting
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tracking tools
- Experience in Financial Services or regulated environments
Ideal Characteristics
The ideal candidate is a detail‑focused PMO or project support professional with strong organisational and administrative skills, comfortable managing multiple initiatives using structured trackers and reporting templates, with solid Excel capability, clear communication skills, and a dependable, process‑oriented approach to supporting governance, reporting, and delivery activities in a regulated or structured change environment.
