About the Risk Manager role
There is an exciting opportunity to join our finance team in our Dublin office as a Risk Manager. This position provides the opportunity to gain full exposure to the Goodbody finance function. The candidate will hold a broad range of responsibilities across the financial control function within the department.
Risk Manager Accountabilities include:
People Management and Development
- Integration of robust Risk Management practises into the Finance department
- Manage the department's risks and control through the Risk control assessment process
- Manage the operational risk incident process, including any regulatory requirements, policy breaches, operational risk events
- Working with management team and wider Finance team on building procedure and control universe and identify any potential gaps in existing procedures and controls.
- Accountable for annual review procedure approval cycle.
- Co-ordinate and drive enhancements to the design, articulation and implementation of a finance control environment (both preventative and detective controls, including the control framework in place to support regulatory and statutory reporting
- Work with the CFO to maintain and facilitate ongoing management of relevant artefacts to support demonstration of Reasonable Steps for relevant PCF roles, as prescribed within the Individual Accountability Framework.
- Complete quality assurance and manage engagement with assurance and audit teams across the three lines of defence. Where issues are identified, ensure that appropriate mitigating actions are agreed and tracked through to completion within agreed due dates.
- Support with regulatory and governance oversight, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of five years' experience in an operational risk, business support, quality assurance or compliance focused role.
- Financial services / investment firm experience would be advantageous.
- Relevant third level qualification.
