About the Senior Director, Client Advisory role

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior professional to lead a team responsible for delivering a consistent investment and planning offering to Goodbody Wealth Advisory clients, across all risk categories.  You will report to the Head of Wealth Management, will be a member of the Wealth Management Senior Management Team and will be responsible for managing an existing multi-billion Euro client book. This role is a Controlled Function (CF)

 

Senior Director, Client Advisory Accountabilities include:

  • Lead and develop a team of wealth professionals responsible for the management of the investment and planning needs of Advisory clients
  • Lead the team in building key relationships with relationship managers and employees on Advisory client propositions, investment and planning related matters
  • Lead the team to deliver innovative and best in class advisory products and proposition, incorporating international best practice
  • Utilise Goodbody originated content, lead the team in organising, attending and participating in employee and client events both in person and online
  • Lead the team to ensure that Advisory client accounts are managed in line with client mandates, objectives, risk profile and timeline
  • Lead the team in assisting to manage the client transition to the appropriate service, encompassing client communications, terms and conditions changes, renewal of information, risk profiling, suitability and financial instrument transition
  • Be responsible for the risk, governance and compliance aspects of the Advisory proposition ("the Product Owner") and represent wealth management on Goodbody risk, governance and product fora, if required
  • Assume responsibility for the team's annual budget with input into the overall budgeting process
  • Grow funds under management, revenue and profits in line with business ambition and requirements and provide a framework for how it is intended to achieve this goal
  • Deliver and communicate clear reporting and monitoring structures, including appropriate KPIs within the team
  • Ensure the team provides an excellent level of professional wealth management advice and service to clients, increasing client NPS, referrals and share of wallet
  • Ensure team is set up to cross-sell our propositions and capabilities, including discretionary, financial planning, pensions and alternative investments
  • Mentor, coach, train and develop both existing and new potential team members
  • Contribute to development and delivery of the overall wealth management strategy
  • Maintain the highest level of personal and professional standards in line with the Fitness & Probity regime.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in financial services, with proven track record in the financial advisory and investment management business
  • A proven track record of leading and managing a team of investment professionals, together with a track record of working on his / her own initiative

  • A proven track record in balancing exceptional client service with challenging business development targets
  • Experience of operating and managing teams to the highest risk and governance standards
  • Excellent interpersonal, numerical, presentation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of product risk management
  • Experience of developing and bringing to market, client propositions in financial services
  • A desire to grow a sustainable business model, which is flexible to change
