About Goodbody

Goodbody is one of Ireland’s leading financial services firms, providing a full suite of wealth management, asset management, investment banking, and private equity services. For over 150 years, we have built a reputation for trusted advice, longterm client relationships, and a culture grounded in collaboration, professionalism, and integrity.

With offices across Dublin, London, Cork and Galway, we continue to invest in our people, expertise, and technology to deliver thoughtful, highquality outcomes for our clients while supporting sustainable growth across the business.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced wealth manager ready to play a central role in Goodbody’s evolving Client Advisory model. As Senior Wealth Executive, you will manage a growing book of high-net-worth (HNW) clients within our Client Advisory team, delivering an integrated, financial planning-led service that connects investment management, tax-aware structuring, estate planning, and intergenerational wealth strategy.

This is a permanent, client-facing role combining significant client responsibility, commercial accountability, and the opportunity to contribute to the development of Goodbody’s advisory proposition.

You will report to the Senior Director, Client Advisory and work within a specialist team structured around three disciplines: Active Trading, Wealth Advisory, and Fiduciary & NFP.

Key Responsibilities

Client Management & Advisory Delivery

  • Manage and develop a growing book of HNW clients, delivering holistic advisory and planning services tailored to each client’s goals, risk profile, mandate, and life stage
  • Conduct thorough discovery and financial planning reviews, integrating investment strategy, tax-aware structuring, protection, estate and succession planning, and cashflow modelling
  • Deliver a financial planning-led offering that builds long-term client relationships anchored in trust, consistency, and demonstrable outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with internal specialists — investment strategy, tax, pensions, and financial planning to deliver integrated, integrated client solutions
  • Ensure all advice is compliant with MiFID II suitability and appropriateness requirements and consistent with each client’s agreed investment mandate
  • Maintain clear and complete records of all client contact, proposals, presentations, and advice on client files

Commercial Growth & Business Development

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow funds under management (FUM), revenue, and overall client engagement within your client book, delivering against agreed targets for the Senior Wealth Executive role
  • Originate new business through referrals, strategic partnerships, centres of influence, and the Goodbody referral network
  • Build and maintain relationships with legal, tax, and accounting professionals, as well as other centres of influence, to support referrals and broader advisory growth
  • Contribute to the growth of the team’s overall commercial performance — supporting pipeline development, new mandate conversion, and client retention
  • Support responsible cross‑selling across Goodbody services, including discretionary management, financial planning, pensions, and alternative investments
  • Use data-driven insights and digital tools to enhance client engagement and deliver a proactive client experience

Investment & Portfolio Alignment

  • Work with the investment team to ensure client portfolios reflect each client’s broader wealth plan, long-term objectives, risk profile, and agreed mandate
  • Ensure all portfolio actions are consistent with suitability, appropriateness, and each client’s current documented risk profile
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and the macroeconomic environment to support informed and proactive client conversations
  • Contribute to client investment reviews, ensuring consistency of delivery and presentation quality across the team

Client Transitions & Proposition Development

  • Support clients through transitions to the appropriate advisory service or segment, ensuring a smooth, wellcommunicated client experience
  • Contribute actively to the ongoing evolution of Goodbody’s advisory proposition, drawing on client insights and best practice
  • Support the development of advisory content, events, and communications that clearly articulate Goodbody’s advisory value proposition

Tax Awareness & Planning Coordination

  • Act as an internal point of expertise on Irish taxation of investments (including CAT considerations, Section 72/73 policies, Retirement Relief, etc.)
  • Identify client cases requiring specialist tax or structuring input and coordinate effectively with internal experts or trusted external advisors
  • Ensure tax-aware advice is built into the client’s overall financial plan as standard, not delivered in isolation

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Always provide compliant advice in accordance with CPC, MiFID II, and Goodbody policies and procedures
  • Ensure robust record-keeping, complaint management, and adherence to training and competence obligations
  • Uphold the highest standards of governance, suitability, and risk management across the Advisory team
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory expectations, Goodbody policies, and internal control frameworks
  • Work constructively with 1LOD and 2LOD Risk and Compliance teams to identify, assess, and manage regulatory and operational risks
  • Maintain personal compliance with Fitness & Probity requirements and promote a strong risk culture within the team

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5–10 years’ experience in wealth management, private banking, stockbroking, or financial advisory, with a demonstrable track record of managing HNW client relationships
  • Proven delivery of financial planning-led advisory services to clients with complex, multi-faceted needs across investment, tax, estate, and intergenerational planning
  • Strong commercial track record — growing FUM, winning new mandates, and meeting revenue targets in a compliant and client-centric way
  • QFA and Registered Representative status as minimum regulatory requirement; CFP, CFA, or equivalent is strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Irish taxation of investments and planning products; AITI CTA or Diploma in Tax for Financial Planning is a distinct advantage
  • Deep knowledge of financial markets, investment products, risk frameworks, and the Irish regulatory environment
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills — written and verbal — with the ability to explain complex financial matters clearly and compellingly
  • A well-established network of clients, professional contacts, and centres of influence is a strong advantage

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Builds strong, long-term client relationships by delivering high-quality advice and service across a wide range of client needs.
  • Brings together investment, financial planning, and tax considerations to develop practical, personalised solutions for clients.
  • Balances excellent client service with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities responsibly.
  • Communicates complex financial, tax, and regulatory matters clearly and confidently, adapting their approach to each client’s needs.
  • Works collaboratively with colleagues and external advisers to deliver joined-up solutions for clients.
  • Takes a careful and well-organised approach to advice delivery, with strong documentation and a clear understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Shows initiative and drive in growing client relationships while contributing to the continued development of the team.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, sound judgement, and integrity in building trusted, long-term client relationships.
