About the Senior Wealth Executive - Galway

 

We have an exciting client-facing opportunity for professionals looking to further develop their career in Wealth Management, focusing on the West. As a Senior Wealth Executive based in Galway, you will play a pivotal role in managing and growing relationships with high-net-worth clients and driving new business development in the West region. You will work closely with colleagues across Goodbody to deliver exceptional wealth management services tailored to client needs. You will report to the Director, Wealth Management Galway and play a pivotal role in driving scalable growth and delivering exceptional client outcomes. This is a permanent role.

 

 

Senior Wealth Executive Business Accountabilities include:

 

  • Lead holistic, planning‑led advice and portfolio oversight for HNW clients (typically €1m+), aligned to client goals and risk tolerance
  • Take over and grow an inherited book as part of a planned succession, ensuring continuity of service and revenue
  • Build and convert a high‑quality regional pipeline through referrals, events and introducer relationships (professional services, entrepreneurs, family businesses)
  • Coordinate seamlessly across Goodbody teams—eg: work closely with colleagues serving sub‑€1m clients to ensure the right service model and appropriate cross‑referrals, maximising overall client outcomes
  • Apply regional sector insight—develop working knowledge of sectors most relevant locally (e.g., Aviation, Technology, MedTech, Pharma, Property and Hospitality) to originate business opportunities
  • Cultivate and strengthen trusted relationships with clients and partners, acting as a key advisor in relation to client propositions and investment planning
  • Represent Goodbody in the region—organise and attend client and community events (in‑person and online)
  • Engage confidently with a diverse client base, ensuring an inclusive approach that prioritises the suitability of products and portfolios
  • Grow safely and sustainably—consistently meet business development targets while upholding suitability, CPC conduct, and internal risk/compliance expectations

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in Financial Services
  • Proven track record in wealth management and managing high-net-worth client relationships
  • A proven track record in the delivery of demanding business development targets in a safe, well-assured and compliant way, where client interests are always prioritised
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

 

Professional & Academic Requirements

 

The successful candidate will hold relevant third‑level and professional qualifications. The following are considered particularly suitable:

  • Business, financial or investment‑related third‑level qualification
  • QFA, CFP or hold the Registered Representative Examination/Certificate in Stockbroking
