Summary of Role

The Head of Risk Change Portfolio Management is a new role within the Risk Operations and Delivery team and this candidate will have direct responsibility for managing a number of Regulatory Projects to successful completion.  The overall Risk Investment Plan for 2019 is circa €60m and this person will play a key role in the delivery of this plan. 


This candidate will also have responsibility for managing a number of Regulatory commitments including RMPs to successful completion. 


What you’ll do 

  • Management of demand and capacity of Risk staff required to deliver Risk sponsored change programmes.  This includes extensive engagement with Risk SMT and other Executives in the Bank.
  • Management of demand and capacity required to support bank wide programmes.  This includes extensive engagement with SMTs across the Bank to ensure that there is appropriate level of support for other bank wide mandatory and strategic programmes.
  • Own and manage the relationships with key stakeholders in delivery of risk programmes and when required present to Executive forums on programme updates and risks.
  • Management of a number of regulatory projects including the design of business needs and ensuring that the plan will meet regulatory expectations and timelines. 
  • Delivery of a number of regulatory commitments and RMPs. 
  • Lead a team of change managers and analysts to deliver the Risk regulatory change agenda.
  • Leading a project team of diverse stakeholders across the Bank to a successful outcome – many of these stakeholders will be Senior Business Leaders. 
  • Accountable for managing the investment plan for Risk and ensuring that budgets and plans are appropriate to deliver on the change agenda.
  • Responsibility for managing and directing any external consultants who are procured to support the delivery of Risk programmes.
  • Accountability for managing horizon scanning of upcoming regulation.


What you’ll need

  • 10 plus years of banking experience and a 3rd level qualification in a relevant area is a distinct advantage
  • Strong Organisational skills with a proven ability to lead teams to deliver on complex change programmes.
  • Must have previous experience of delivering regulatory programmes to GIA or External Regulators
  • Extensive Experience of project delivery and change management
  • Change Management/Risk Management or QFA qualifications desirable
