About the Account Opening Executive role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused professional to join our dynamic Client Support Services team as an Account Opening Executive, playing a key role in delivering exceptional onboarding experiences within a fast-paced and evolving operations environment. Client Support Services, sitting in the Operations department at Goodbody, brings together our traditional Middle Office with Account Opening, Account Maintenance, and Pension Administration functions. Account Opening Executive Accountabilities include:

Carrying out the end-to-end client on-boarding process and ensuring service delivery excellence to our clients and Wealth Management
Issuing account opening documentation to our clients/prospective clients, in a timely and professional manner, as requested by the Wealth Management Department
Providing advice and regulatory guidance to Wealth Management and our clients on all aspects of account opening for all client types (individuals, companies, trusts, pensions, charities etc.)
Reviewing completed client account opening documentation, and identifying any issues that need to be resolved to meet regulatory standards and internal requirements
Assessing new accounts to ensure Customer Due Diligence (CDD), AML, Client Suitability and Client Vulnerability criteria are met and addressed
Attend client meetings with Portfolio Managers, where necessary, to assist with account opening documentation
Interact with internal stakeholders, including Wealth Management, Compliance, Internal Audit, Risk, and Wealth Management Operations, as well as our clients in relation to all aspects of account opening/client on-boarding
Updating account opening documentation and procedures as required due to changes to regulation/internal processes.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with all colleagues, relevant vendors /customers, and stakeholders
Recognising and recording Service Level Agreement Breaches against Outsourced Provider as and when they occur – adhere to Breach recognition and escalation procedures
Representing the Client Support Services on internal/external forums with the ability to obtain a favourable resolution for all concerned
Being responsive and receptive to internal and external change initiatives
Escalating of all relevant matters to Team Leader whilst retaining responsibility for resolution.

Qualifications and Experience

Previous experience of working on client AML & CDD matters would be helpful in the role
Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office
Full training will be provided on systems in use in the department where required
A strong commitment to developing and sustaining a superior level of customer service
At least 2 years Financial Services experience would be an advantage.
Experience of different stockbroking functions would be an advantage
Certificate in Stockbroking (or willingness to obtain same)
Professional Certificate/Diploma in Compliance is desirable but not essential
Educated to primary degree level is preferable but not essential

What you Will Bring:

5–8 years’ experience in fraud, financial crime, risk analytics, decisioning, or business analysis within banking or financial services.
Strong understanding of payment fraud typologies, transaction monitoring, account takeover, mule activity, and fraud decisioning initiatives.
Experience working with fraud detection, analytics, or decisioning platforms such as Featurespace or similar systems, including rule development, scenario implementation, tuning, or optimisation.
Strong data analysis capability with hands-on experience using SQL and large datasets, including querying, manipulating, and analysing complex data to identify fraud patterns, trends, and root causes
Ability to define structured, data-driven solutions and to work effectively in fast-paced delivery environments with multiple dependencies.

Summary of role:

The role is positioned within the Regulatory Interpretation workstream of the Enterprise Internal Ratings Based (IRB) Programme which sits within AIB’s Risk Function.

The main objective of the Enterprise IRB Programme is to deliver a comprehensive IRB infrastructure and model suite which will deliver broad benefits to the Group including regulatory compliance, capital management and enhanced business decision making. The Regulatory Interpretation workstream is an enablement workstream that supports all other IRB Programme workstreams to ensure that the Group’s IRB rating systems are regulatory compliant. This opportunity will suit someone with experience of interpreting prudential regulations and/or someone with a Credit risk background with an understanding of regulatory guidelines that underpin the Credit Policy suite.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of bringing colleagues from different viewpoints together to achieve optimum solutions. The candidate will demonstrate willingness to expand within the role given that the role also requires broader enterprise engagement. The role provides an opportunity to influence enhancements to the control environment for IRB and to work alongside internal and external colleagues with a broad spectrum of experience across Credit Risk Modelling & Validation, Credit Risk Management, Business Lending, Data Management, Regulatory Compliance and Technical Implementation.

We're looking for someone who can:

Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of IRB regulatory requirements by leveraging both programme and Group compliance processes.
Provide support in the provision of regulatory guidance to IRB programme colleagues via engagement
Develop knowledge of internal IRB control environment in order to be in a position to provide guidance on internal controls required to mitigate IRB regulatory risks
Attend various fora (eg technical advisory forum and model change assessment forum) to provide regulatory input on proposals. Ensure that decision points are adequately evidenced.
Assume responsibility for managing the Regulatory Workstream ways of working with other workstreams in the Programme.
Leverage internal and external programme resources through effective engagement and collaboration to achieve deliverables.
Communicate outcomes and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Provide support in the planning process for the workstream.

What is the Role:

The role is customer facing in the AIB branch in Maynooth . You will work as part of the branch team to provide excellent engaging experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Greet all customers who enter the Branch.
Process payments and withdrawals, working within the cash desk, lodgements and general day-to-day banking errands.
Help customers to set up and maintain accounts.
Deal with calls, emails, and face-to-face enquiries.
Promote financial products and services to customers.
Guide customers to the correct colleague in regard to their financial queries.
Help customers with the use of IT systems to update account details.
General administration tasks.

Compliance Monitoring Analyst (Dublin, IE, IE)

Location/Office Policy: Molesworth St. Dublin 2/Central Park Dublin 18 office-centric hybrid working (3 days per week onsite)

What is the Role:

Reporting to the Compliance Monitoring Manager, the Compliance Monitoring Analyst will be responsible for assisting in delivery of high-quality compliance monitoring reviews across AIB Group.

The Compliance Monitoring team is part of the ‘Second Line of Defence’ Compliance Function and is led by the Head of Compliance Monitoring reporting to the Group Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Risk Officer, Group Risk Committee and Board Risk Committee.

The Compliance Function provides advice, assurance, monitoring and reporting of the Bank’s regulatory compliance, conduct, and culture risk, and this role provides an opportunity for the right person to play a key role across the organisation.

Key accountabilities:

Assisting in delivery of high-quality compliance monitoring activities across in-scope AIB business areas in line with the compliance monitoring methodology and plan.
Reviewing evidence and documenting test results, recording observations and resolving queries.
Monitoring and following up on open actions to ensure all issues are remediated.
Maintaining a structured file for each review.
Consulting with the compliance advisory teams to ensure that the selection, scope setting and approach to delivering reviews are planned and targeted effectively.
Supporting review planning, taking into consideration regulatory requirements, breaches, complaints, Operational Risk MI and KPI information, as appropriate.
Support the Compliance Monitoring Manager in discussing the compliance monitoring outputs with relevant business areas and agree any required remedial actions.
On an ad-hoc basis, contribute to committee and board reports to ensure senior management are up to date and aware of key compliance issues.
Support the Compliance Monitoring Manager and Head of Compliance Monitoring in maintaining the Compliance Monitoring methodology and team templates.

What you Will Bring:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in financial services, compliance, risk, or audit environment.
Understanding of risks and controls and the ability to identify control gaps or weaknesses.
High-level understanding of the regulatory landscape, our regulators, and how regulation impacts AIB as a business.
Experience working with IT systems including word documents and spreadsheets, with a strong ability to learn new systems.
Excellent written communication skills which can be applied to testing and reporting tasks.
