What is the Role:

The Data Platforms team is responsible for the design, delivery and support of technology solutions for key Enterprise functions including HR, Finance, Risk and Data.

The Data Platforms team within Data & Analytics is at the heart of transformation, modernisation and delivery of business critical applications that provide critical services to the business and our stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:

Execute on the data and analytics strategy to shape and modernise our data platforms
Lead the delivery of complex platform requirements, including cross-IT technical components. Using judgement to challenge requirements and proposes options in order to reach an achievable solution. Working closely with the IT solution provider or partner providing guidance on the functional need.
Manage assigned data platforms, leading internal and external support resources and working with support partners to deliver effective configuration, monitoring, optimisation, performance and incident management across multiple environments.
Drive cross-functional collaboration with with team members (internal or external), senior stakeholders and subject matter experts to translate complex business needs into a clear functional design. Supporting solution design across IT areas as required to establish the most appropriate and fit for purpose solution to achieve the outcome.
Ensure compliance with enterprise governance and regulatory requirements, including security standards, data protection, auditability and operational resilience expectations.

Demonstrate technical Knowledge of cloud platforms in particular Microsoft Azure and Databricks.

What you Will Bring:

5+ years’ technical experience supporting cloud based data or analytics platforms, with hands on experience administering Databricks on Azure.
Proven track record in design and delivery of technical solutions to complex business needs, and in proposing the resolution of issues for technical deliveries.
A strong proven track record in the delivery of IT enabled change.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills including collaboration, facilitation and negotiation skills.
Experience with other enterprise data and analytics technologies an advantage (e.g. Teradata, SAS, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric).

What is the Role:

Risk Analytics is part of the Risk Function, this is an independent, second line of defence function that monitors, controls, and supports risk-taking activities across AIB. Key accountabilities

Develop behavioural, portfolio and predictive models aligned with IFRS 9, IRB and stress testing standards, including PD, LGD and EAD.
Deliver point‑in‑time loss provisioning analysis and long‑term through‑the‑cycle economic capital analysis.
Produce macroeconomic scenario forecasting, stress testing and long‑term studies on Climate Change impacts on credit risk and sustainability.
Estimate risk‑based loan pricing.
Perform segmentation, risk segmentation and model calibration activities.
Contribute to the definition and maintenance of modelling standards and methodologies.
Extract, transform, cleanse and analyse data, including complex, exploratory and ad‑hoc analysis to generate business insights and recommendations.

What you will Bring ;

On track to achieve a 2.1 or higher in a bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in a quantitative analytical discipline e.g. mathematics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, physics, statistics, engineering, econometrics, actuarial science.
Have experience with SQL programming - an understanding of alternate programming languages would be beneficial (e.g. R, Python, Matlab).
Curiosity and inventiveness.

Ability to interpret evolving regulations and provide clear, practical and defensible solutions.

Key accountabilities:

Assisting in delivery of high-quality compliance monitoring activities across in-scope AIB business areas in line with the compliance monitoring methodology and plan.
