What is the Role:

What is the Role:

Key accountabilities:

Production of voluntary sustainability reporting for other publications relating to AIB Group’s sustainability agenda.

Ongoing review and enhancement of the production process and data sources to ensure an efficient and effective production process.

What you Will Bring;

Strong understanding of sustainability disclosure requirements and rating agency assessments, and related regulation and standards including CSRD, ISSB, TCFD, GRI and PRB.
Comprehensive analytical skills in interpretation of complex reporting requirements and an ability to identify efficiencies in delivery.
Excellent written communication skills and a proven ability of contributing to external ESG reporting publications.

What is the Role?

We are recruiting for a Politically Exposed Persons Advisor to join the Financial Crime Centre of Excellence.

Financial Crime operates as part of the First Line of Defence, protecting AIB, our customers and society from money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud and other criminal activity. By centralising AML, Sanctions and Fraud expertise and investing in technology, the Centre of Excellence enables consistent, risk‑based decision making and rapid response to emerging threats.

In this role, you will support Business and Corporate Banking by completing AML Ongoing Due Diligence (ODD) reviews for Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and their close associates, applying a robust risk‑based approach in line with AML policy, standards and regulatory expectations. You will assess political exposure, ownership and control structures, source of wealth/funds, transactional behaviour and risk triggers, ensuring decisions are clearly evidenced and audit‑ready.

This role is suited to someone with solid AML experience and developing PEP expertise, who wants to deepen their technical capability while operating within a well‑governed, specialist Financial Crime environment.

Key Accountabilities

Complete AML Ongoing Due Diligence (ODD) reviews for PEPs and PEP‑connected customers in line with AML Standards, procedures and localised process documents.
Apply a risk‑based approach when reviewing political exposure, customer profiles, ownership structures, influence networks and transactional behaviour.

Is this you?

You have a strong understanding of data architecture – how data is captured, stored, transformed, and aggregated across systems – and you're eager to apply that knowledge in a validation context.

Who We Are

The Independent Validation Unit (IVU) sits within Risk Assurance & Validation at AIB. We are responsible for independently validating the Bank's risk data aggregation and risk reporting capabilities – a regulatory requirement under BCBS 239.

In practice, that means we go deep into the data: tracing figures back to source, stress-testing control frameworks, reviewing data quality rules, and assessing whether the information reaching senior management and the Board is accurate, timely, and reliable.

What You'll Do

This role is focused on the technical side of our validation work. You will be hands-on with data – querying systems, testing controls, tracing lineage, and validating outputs. Specifically:

Perform end-to-end data lineage reviews, tracing Key Business Elements (KBEs) and Critical Data Elements (CDEs) from source systems through aggregation layers to final reports.
Execute detailed data validation testing, including reperformance of calculations, reconciliation of data across systems, and assessment of manual adjustments and overrides.
Design and deliver data-driven testing approaches using SQL, Power BI, and other analytical tools to identify data quality issues and control gaps.
Contribute to the build-out of continuous monitoring capabilities – automated dashboards and data rule testing that extend our validation coverage beyond periodic reviews.
Assess the design and operating effectiveness of data quality controls, including automated rules, thresholds, and exception-handling processes.
Test and validate data infrastructure components such as data warehouses, Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, reporting platforms, and End User Computing (EUC) applications.
Prepare clear, well-evidenced review findings and contribute to final reports for senior management, the Board Risk Committee, and regulatory engagement.
Support the wider Risk Assurance & Validation team, providing technical expertise on data and technology aspects of their reviews.

What You'll Bring

Experience: Minimum 4 years in data analytics, data management, data engineering, or technology – ideally gained within financial services, audit, or compliance. Experience in an assurance function is a strong advantage.

Technical skills: Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Teradata, EDW environments, Ab Initio, QlikView). Practical experience with Power BI or similar visualisation tools. Exposure to data lineage, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.

Assurance mindset: Understanding of control and risk management methodologies. Professional qualification in auditing or assurance (e.g., CISA, CRISC, IIA) or data management / regulatory compliance is preferred but not essential – what matters is your ability to apply structured, evidence-based assessment techniques.

Regulatory awareness: Familiarity with BCBS 239 principles, data governance frameworks, or banking regulatory requirements is a plus.

Communication: Ability to document technical findings clearly, present issues to non-technical stakeholders, and work collaboratively across teams.

Drive: Self-starter, proactive, excellent attention to detail, and comfortable working to deadlines in a dynamic environment.

What is the Role?

We are recruiting for a Level 2 AML Ongoing Due Diligence Specialist to join the Financial Crime Centre of Excellence.

Financial Crime operates as part of the First Line of Defence, protecting AIB, our customers and society from money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud and other criminal activity. By centralising AML, Sanctions and Fraud expertise and investing in technology, the Centre of Excellence enables consistent, risk‑based decision‑making and rapid response to emerging threats.

In this role, you will support Business and Corporate Banking by completing Ongoing Due Diligence (ODD) reviews, using a risk‑based approach to monitor customer relationships and ensure compliance with AIB AML Policy, Standards and regulatory obligations. The role is suited to someone with experience or developing expertise in AML, particularly in relation to business and/or corporate customers, who wants to build a strong career in Financial Crime.

Key Accountabilities

Complete AML Ongoing Due Diligence (ODD) reviews in line with AML Standards, procedures and localised process documents.
Apply a risk‑based approach when reviewing customer profiles, ownership structures, transactional behaviour and risk triggers.
Analyse information held on bank systems and external documentation to support informed AML decision‑making.
Review and interpret customer financial statements as part of the AML risk assessment process.
Follow up outstanding information with customers and Local Markets, demonstrating tenacity and attention to detail.
Accurately update and record customer AML information on bank systems.
Work professionally and collaboratively with offshore colleagues to deliver agreed outcomes.
Use Active Operations Management (AOM) to manage workload and deliver outputs in line with agreed resource plans and SLAs.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, supporting enhancements to AML processes in a changing regulatory environment.

What You Will Bring

Experience reviewing Business accounts, sectors and understanding
Ability to analyse and interpret data and information, manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines governed by SLAs.
Knowledge of Financial Crime, AML and Legal & Regulatory Requirements, or a strong appetite to develop this knowledge further.
Experience or exposure to Business and/or Corporate Banking customers is desirable.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail.
