What is the Role:

 

This is a senior leadership role within the Enterprise Delivery function, responsible for driving enterprise-wide transformation initiatives aligned with AIB’s strategic priorities of efficiency and customer-first delivery. The successful candidate will shape the future of the Enterprise Delivery function by leveraging technology, optimising synergies, and fostering innovation. The role requires championing a culture of continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration within Enterprise Delivery and across the wider Group, ensuring alignment and shared ownership of transformation goals.

As this is a new team, the successful candidate will establish and lead a high-performing transformation team focused on delivering measurable, sustainable outcomes. The role promotes excellence in execution and embeds a results-driven mindset across all initiatives.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Lead the identification, prioritisation, and delivery of major transformation initiatives across Enterprise Delivery and the wider AIB Group.
  • Develop and maintain a continuously evolving pipeline of transformation activity, proactively identifying and leveraging emerging tools, technologies (including AI), and market trends.
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration, engaging stakeholders at all levels to secure commitment and drive delivery.
  • Build consensus and negotiate priorities with senior stakeholders across multiple functions, developing compelling business cases with clearly defined, tangible benefits.
  • Oversee the development of a high-performing, cross-functional transformation team, ensuring strong employee engagement, clear career progression pathways, and robust succession planning.
  • Collaborate closely with key AIB partners and suppliers to maximise their contribution and value in delivering transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure transformation initiatives are resilient, adaptable to regulatory requirements, and deliver positive outcomes for customers, employees, and the business.
  • Maintain accountability for transformation outcomes, including risk mitigation, capacity optimisation, cost efficiency, process simplification, and enhanced customer satisfaction.

 

What You Will Bring:

 

  • Experience in leading large-scale transformation within the financial services industry, specifically through the use of AI and emerging technologies.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional projects and programmes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong experience in cultivating technical innovation, with a focus on creating new and faster ways for the organisation to be successful.
  • Proven experience navigating complex organisational structures and managing internal and external senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with experience building partnerships with senior stakeholders and working collaboratively to meet shared objectives.
  • Strong, concise, accurate, and effective written and oral communication skills; able to engage with individuals across all levels of a financial institution.
  • Familiarity with the current and emerging technology and future trends.
