  • AIB Group p.l.c. has a role for you within the newly formed Capital Markets Valuations Centre of Specialisation team.

 

 

What is the Role:

 

Our Valuations Centre of Specialisation (CoS) handles all valuation activities for Capital markets, including responsibility for internal monitoring tests (IMTs) and external valuations (EVs).   The team was setup to improve the standardisation and consistency of our internal monitoring process for property valuations and to improve the consistency and oversight of external valuations. It also ensures that all property valuation and monitoring activity is performed independently from lending teams, ensuring compliance with the bank’s credit policy guidelines and external codes of conduct at all times. The CoS sits in the Customer Solutions & Services Business Unit in Capital Markets.

 

The successful candidate will fulfil the role of Chartered Surveyor/ Professional Valuer within the team and will be involved in a range of valuation oversight activities, with particular emphasis on completing consistent work, in line with the AIB Professional Valuation Guidance/Policy. 

 

 

Key accountabilities;

 

  • Applying an experienced professional lens and expert judgement, in support of overall Capital Markets valuation activity, with particular focus on compliance with Group Property Valuation Policy and Group Property Valuation Guidance.
  • Give priority to ongoing Quality Assurance and Training within the Valuations team.  Work closely with the team to establish standardised approaches to completing internal valuations across varying asset classes, to reduce re-works and increase overall quality in line with Policy.
  • Undertake and complete an agreed Quality approval approach to ensure External Valuations are critically reviewed to meet the Group Property Valuation Guidance.
  • Undertake and complete agreed Internal Monitoring Tests to ensure valuations are monitored in line with the Group Property Valuation Guidance.
  • Developing and enhancing robust valuation process and guidance to reflect best practice and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide support and guidance to Capital Markets colleagues on the appropriate execution of valuation activity.
  • Supporting valuation team members by sharing experience and expertise, and mentoring colleagues where appropriate.

 

 

 

What you Will Bring;

 

  • Qualified Chartered Surveyor or qualified  Professional Valuer, with minimum 5 years post qualification experience 
  • Strong level of technical/industry/system knowledge of the Valuations process with a particular focus on trading assets.
  • Experience in continuous change, with a focus on process improvement.
  • Strong planning and prioritisation skills particularly when under pressure to meet team objectives.
  • Track record in developing people to meet both their career goals and the Organisation goals.
  • A proven ability to work in a diverse team, achieving positive engagement and outcomes for stakeholders.
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers
