What is the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Information Security Governance, the Cyber Awareness Lead will focus on enhancing the Bank’s cybersecurity culture by developing and delivering cybersecurity awareness programs for the Bank and its customers. This role will include designing targeted campaigns, including phishing simulations, and raising cybersecurity awareness to help customers protect themselves from threats. The Cyber Awareness Lead will collaborate with clients and external stakeholders to ensure that training materials align with the Bank’s policies, industry regulations, and customer security needs. Additionally, this role will involve measuring the effectiveness of external awareness activities and identifying areas for improvement, helping customers understand both how the Bank is protecting them and how they can safeguard their own digital interactions.
Key accountabilities;
- Develop, implement, and maintain engaging cybersecurity awareness campaigns, including customer-facing programs that educate on security policies, best practices, and emerging cyber threats relevant to their personal data.
- Lead and execute phishing simulation exercises targeting the customer base, providing feedback and guidance to help clients identify and handle suspicious communications.
- Co-ordinate with teams across the Bank, such as legal, audit, and IT, to ensure cybersecurity training aligns with external compliance requirements and industry standards.
- Oversee regular reports on the outcomes of customer training campaigns, including phishing simulations, providing insights into customer behaviour and areas requiring further training or attention.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity mandates applicable to customer-facing services, making certain that clients are adequately informed about their role in security.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of external-facing training and awareness programs, gathering feedback from customers to refine and improve these initiatives continually.
- Oversee Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) that monitor the effectiveness of customer security awareness programs.
Minimum Criteria;
- Holds a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Has 8 years’ experience in Security Awareness / Training and Development or other relevant industry experience.
- Experience in Technology and ideally Cyber Security.
- Demonstrates excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Has a passion for education and awareness.
- Proven capability in the generation of Management Information and ability to report information up to Executive Level.
