About the Role
As a Data Quality and Governance Technical Lead at AIB, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the measurement and reporting of data quality across the organisation while driving forward the take-on and usage of data governance toolsets. This position calls for a seasoned technical delivery lead with specific experience in designing and implementing data quality and governance technical solutions.
You will be part of the Data Management and Governance team, which is responsible for embedding data quality, management, and privacy standards across AIB Group.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the deployment of data governance tools to support data lineage, metadata management, and quality monitoring.
· Act as a subject matter expert in data governance and data quality technical solutions delivering training and guidance to stakeholders.
· Drive the automation of data quality metrics and reporting in line with business needs and industry standards.
· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and align data governance tooling requirements together with designing and delivering enterprise-wide data quality monitoring outputs.
What You’ll Bring
· At least 8 years of experience in data quality management, ideally within the banking sector.
· Demonstrated success in delivering innovative data governance and quality solutions, including planning, execution, resource allocation, and risk management.
· Deep knowledge of at least one data governance toolset (Ab^Initio / Informatica etc) together with a basic knowledge of data visualisation tools.
· Solid understanding of data collection, storage, and related technologies.
· Strong grasp of data quality principles and methodologies.
· Familiarity with modern data architectures and cloud platforms.
· Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
