What is the role:
Products, Retail has responsibility for relevant products within our four core Product families, which include: Mortgage, Credit, Current & Deposit, and Payments & Cards. Products has a Group-wide remit and is a key enabler of customer centric propositions and the delivery of the bank’s regulatory, sustainment and strategic agenda. We want to be renowned for providing reliable and simple products that deliver fair outcomes for customers in an environment where our business and people thrive.
A vacancy now exists for the Head of Business & Corporate Credit Products, reporting into the Head of Credit Products. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to join the Credit Products team, working closely with colleagues across AIB including Retail, Capital Markets, UK, Legal, Risk, COO and CTO.
Key Accountabilities:
- Product Management: Responsible for product lifecycle management activities of the Business & Corporate Credit product suite, from launch to withdrawal, ensuring evolving Customer and Business needs are met. Responsible for ensuring the integrity of the product suite, alignment with the risk management framework, relevant regulations and legislation and that adequate controls are in place to manage the product related risks within risk appetite.
- Leadership: Lead and develop a team of product management professionals and subject matter experts.
- Functional strategy & delivery: Develop the credit products strategy and deliver the future product roadmap. Identify opportunities for transformation / improvement and influence design future state at senior levels.
- Collaboration: Work with colleagues and external partners or parties, actively sharing ideas and encouraging collaboration.
- Problem Solving & Decision Making: Anticipate and analyse issues, make informed decisions and recommendations, take corrective action and manage changing priorities. Manage the risk profile of the product suite.
- Culture and Conduct: Champion a Customer First culture in support of our purpose, strategic ambition and brand values, by ensuring processes and procedures consistently promote good outcomes for all our customers.
What You Will Bring:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Product Management or a similar role, with a strong understanding of product lifecycles and customer-focused delivery.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, effectively collaborating across business areas. Strong negotiation, influencing and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of Consumer and SME lending regulations. Knowledge of credit products, processes and systems an advantage.
- A strong leader and a quick learner who can adapt to changing priorities and opportunities.
- Commercially astute, with an understanding of the factors that contribute to the lending market and how these factors are built into product delivery.
