What is the Role:
- We are seeking a driven and ambitious Senior Agile Product Owner with a strong background Technology Delivery and Core Banking to drive the delivery of the bank’s strategic credit products to our customers. The role will report in to the Corporate Delivery Lead for Core Banking.
- As a Senior Agile Product Owner, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of core banking solutions across various Agile squads. You will coordinate efforts among multiple teams, facilitating collaboration and ensuring alignment on project goals. You will regularly be required to problem solve and unblock teams so that we deliver the best product we can to our customers.

As a member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the delivery of the bank’s strategic credit products, contributing to major programme transformations and technology deliveries in the Core Banking sector.
You will have the chance to work with a diverse group of talented professionals, coordinating efforts among various Agile squads and facilitating collaboration to ensure alignment on project goals. This role allows you to problem-solve and unblock teams, ensuring we deliver the best possible products to our customers.
You will be responsible for creating, managing, and tracking multiple plans across Tribes, reporting regularly to senior stakeholders. The role also involves managing technology vendors and multiple bank partners, with a focus on large-scale, multi-million euro investment programmes.

Key accountabilities:
- Engages and manages stakeholders, be sensitive to their needs, yet comfortable to challenge where appropriate. Presents potential solutions to senior stakeholders. Influences the overall solution recommendations and defines outcomes.
- Guides multi-disciplinary squads and collaborates with them to achieve agreed outcomes and to ensure solutions meet the customer /business requirements. Provides and supports the implementation of solutions by engaging effectively with stakeholders and acts as a link between stakeholder groups.
- Takes a proactive role in the analysis of business requirements and problems, identifying available options for consideration together with a recommended course of action.
- Work as part of a team with internal and external partners/vendors, demonstrating strong ability to collaborate and work through complex issues & challenges to find suitable customer focussed solutions.
- Provide strategic direction and subject matter expertise inputs into solution design, challenging status quo, legacy business processes etc. with emphasis on standardisation, simplification & automation of processes and technology.
- Creates and clearly communicates product backlog items to ensure transparency to stakeholders. Prioritises and orders backlog items. Anticipates issues, makes informed decisions and recommendations, takes corrective action and manages changing priorities.
- Co-ordination of solutions and delivery plans from other Tribes needed to deliver an end to end solution for our customers.
- Foster collaboration between functional and technical leads to translate product requirements into robust technical solutions, ensuring alignment with AIB’s Technology strategy.
What you Will Bring:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Delivery Lead/Agile Product Owner, preferably in the banking or financial services sector
- Proven Project Management skills and the ability to manage plans and budgets.
- Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.
- Capable of building strong relationships with teams and key stakeholders
- Proven experience working in Agile environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset.
- Familiarity with product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
