About the Role:

 

 

Join our ambitious Strategic Sourcing team and help to shape the future of technology procurement across our organisation. As a ITT Sourcing Category Manager, you will offer quality commercial advice, deliver sustainable value through effective sourcing and negotiation practices, and ensure our business remains agile and competitive in a rapidly evolving financial services sector. Your expertise will help us navigate complex regulatory environments, optimise risk, and build resilient supplier partnerships.

Strategic Sourcing is a specialist department within Enterprise Delivery, providing bank-wide professional procurement services across all AIB geographies, including the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, UK and US. We aspire to be a leading technology Sourcing organisation that connects people to ideas.

 

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver measurable cost savings, risk mitigation, policy compliance and supplier innovation across technology and IT professional services.
  • Commercial Excellence: Lead complex negotiations and advise on commercial contracts and strategic supplier relationships to maximise value and optimise risk.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong networks with internal stakeholders and third parties, collaborating to align procurement strategies with business objectives and ESG commitments.
  • Digital Transformation & Change Management: Champion the adoption of digital procurement tools and support change initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and transparency.
  • Knowledge Management: Maintain and develop frameworks for market intelligence and third-party information, supporting informed decision-making.
  • Professional Development: Invest in yourself, support others, and develop procurement capability and talent, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

 

 

What you will bring:

 

 

  • Proven track record (5+ years) in delivering procurement projects.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, commercial contracting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with digital procurement tools (e.g., e-sourcing, spend analytics, supplier risk platforms).
  • Commercial analysis and financial modelling skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and manage complex projects.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience; professional sourcing qualifications (CIPS, CPSM) desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organisational, planning, and research skills.
  • Understanding of technology industry trends and their relevance to technology and IT services procurement.
