Summary of role:

 

The Financial Crime senior Business analyst, is a new role within FC systems and Intelligence team.  The Financial Crime team is the First Line of Defence against money laundering, fraud, and terrorist financing. Our purpose is to protect our customers and society from organised crime, terrorism, trafficking, and other criminal activities, through our commitment to the prevention and detection of financial crime.

 

Reporting to the data and MI manager this role will support them in driving the implementation of diverse change and project initiatives related to Governance and Process improvement in Financial Crimes

 

The role provides an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a dynamic working environment, and who has a proven ability to prioritise and multi-task. The role requires initiative, attention to detail and excellent communication skills. The role holder will also need strong interpersonal skills to effectively manage internal relationships, working with senior management both within and outside of Financial Crime and collaborating with a range of stakeholders across the organisation.

 

 

Key accountabilities/responsibilities are as follows:

 

As part of the Financial Crime analytics team, you will: 

  • Lead the gathering, analysis and documentation of complex business requirements , transforming stakeholder input and data insights into actionable recommendations that meet governance and quality standards.
  • Lead the process mapping efforts to create clear and concise process documentation and SOP’s
  • Translate business requirements into functional and non functional specifications and user stories, ensuring clarity, completeness and consistency ensuring the technical design and implementation meet the business requirements and expectations.
  • Facilitating alignment among diverse stakeholder groups, driving consensus and strategic agreement on optimal business solutions.
  • Foster and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, championing the successful design and implementation of enterprise-level solutions while ensuring accountability for outcomes and deadlines.
  • Communicate with clarity and influence across cross-functional teams, actively listening, managing stakeholder expectations, and pre-emptively addressing emerging issues.
  • Lead the project management efforts across the team leveraging an agile approach

 

 

What you will bring: 

  • Minimum 4+ years business analyst experience.
  • Proven experience in leading requirement gathering and analysis of complex business processes.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Power point, Word.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex findings clearly.
