Our Climate Capital segment is central to the delivery of these ambitious targets, investing in large scale renewables and infrastructure projects across Ireland, the UK, Europe and North America. This is the fastest growing area of the bank’s loan book.
This is a unique opportunity for experienced individuals to join this high performing, ambitious team, as we build out our international platform and directly contribute to global climate action goals.
The Business Enablement team supports Climate Capital by overseeing governance, regulatory compliance, risk and control management, and delivering high-quality reporting to enable effective decision-making. The successful candidate will be required to support best in class performance reporting and risk management across Climate Capital’s growing portfolio.
Key accountabilities;
- Deliver strategic portfolio insights to senior leadership and stakeholders by transforming complex data into actionable intelligence that informs decision-making and drives performance.
- Oversee asset quality reporting and monitoring of credit indicators for the portfolio
- Support Climate Capital planning activities, ensuring robust, timely, and forward-looking forecasts that support strategic objectives
- Actively seek to eliminate complexity, proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Actively develop and maintain strong working relationships with business partners and key stakeholders, to deliver business success aligned to AIB strategy.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture, mentoring team members and driving collective accountability to achieve shared goals.
- Establish and maintain a strong governance framework, ensuring that all team processes, procedures, and controls are clearly documented, regularly reviewed, and consistently adhered to.
What you Will Bring;
- Relevant 3rd level qualification with 5+ years' experience within banking
- Strong credit skills essential within banking
- Clear and concise oral and written communication skills with an ability to produce and present high quality reports.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with strong attention to detail
- Team player with an ability to multi task, prioritise and work to challenging deadlines
- Must be a strong role model, with demonstrated capability of development and coaching, empowering and trusting in people.
