What is the Role:

 

The purpose of the role of Regulatory Compliance Manager is to lead a team of regulatory specialists whilst developing and delivering the Compliance Obligations Register (COR) to proactively identify, document and assess the compliance risks associated with the Group’s activities and challenging if Prudential regulatory obligations are mapped to existing controls for each set of regulations, if it is correct, or if controls that should be mapped are missing

 

 

Key accountabilities.

 

  • Contributing to compliance processes and minimum standards by identifying opportunities for improved adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards
  • Maintaining and improving the methodology and adjusting the approach to future process changes
  • Validating if Prudential Regulatory obligations are mapped to existing controls for each set of regulations, if it is correct, or if controls that should be mapped are missing
  • Assist in the delivery and development of a comprehensive proactive, independent second line regulatory compliance plan across the Group through the development and implementation of a robust regulatory compliance risk assessment process
  • Forming an opinion on the effectiveness of the prudential regulatory control environment, risk appetite and horizon, while influencing Management in managing the compliance risks effecting their business area.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of Compliance by supporting the Compliance senior management team.
  • Participate in Compliance management meetings to ensure Compliance Programme is on track for delivery.

 

 

What you Will Bring.

 

  • 8+ years in a financial services environment, preferably in a Compliance, Risk or Supervisory role with proven experience in leading a team of Compliance professionals
  • Proven experience leading a team of risk or/and compliance experts and experience interacting on regulation change, RCAs, policy and processes.
  • Have a proven understanding and experience of key banking prudential, conduct, financial crime and DP regulations, directives, standards and guidelines and the ability to provide accurate advice, review and challenge as required.  Relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Have a proven understanding and experience of key banking products and banking strategy in the context of the regulatory environment and managing relationships with senior business stakeholders and the Regulator
