What is the Role:
The role reports to the Customer Base Management team which sits within the Chief Customer Office (CCO). It requires experience in database management and data visualization to ensure the timely and effective monitoring of customer base management initiatives (e.g., personalisation, lifecycle, and promotional campaigns). As a senior data scientist, you will: lead the development and maintenance of dashboards and other monitoring tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs); deliver pre/post-campaign analysis; and provide support in designing experiments (A/B tests, online and field experiments) to measure campaign performance.
Key accountabilities:
- Lead the development and maintenance of dashboards to ensure timely and effective monitoring of campaign performance. Provide subject matter expertise on enhancing the efficiency of data pre-processing, analysis, and reporting (e.g., increased automation, use of version control systems).
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs), including ROI, uplift, conversion, and churn metrics.
- Contribute to pre/post-campaign analysis with clear commentary and recommendations. Ensure statistical rigor is applied to business recommendations.
- Extract, transform, and clean the data required for modelling and analysis purposes.
- Support and contribute to the development of robust measurement frameworks to evaluate performance of CRM, lifecycle, and promotional campaigns.
- Assist the team in designing, implementing, and analysing experiments (A/B tests, online and field experiments).
What you Will Bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in a quantitative or business analytics role.
- Advanced level of SAS or SQL programming. An equivalent level in alternate programming language would be considered (e.g., R, Python, Matlab).
- Advanced knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Power BI, SAS Visual Analytics, QlikView, or Tableau.
- Extensive experience in database management (Teradata) and version control system (Git).
- Strong ability to communicate analytical insights into clear business recommendations for all levels in the organization.
- Inclination to innovate and proactively keep abreast of the latest techniques. Knowledge of microeconometrics and machine learning methods would be a bonus.
