What is the Role:
Market Risk is a material risk for the bank. The Market risk team operates within the Financial Risk department and its role is to provide second line challenge to the front-line market risk taking functions.
Reporting directly to the Head of Market Risk, this person will play a central role in the delivery of strong second line review and challenge of the Group’s market risk exposures.
The successful candidate will have regular interaction with stakeholders across Risk, Treasury and the business
Key accountabilities;
- Produce concise and effective analysis relating to market risk.
- Participate in Risk’s review and challenge the Group’s market risk stress testing, planning and limit setting processes.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, influencing them to achieve desired outcomes
- Aid in the independent second line review and challenge of the Group’s market risk profile.
What you Will Bring ;
- 3+ years' experience within a Market Risk, Treasury Risk or equivalent financial risk centric position
- Demonstrable understanding of the financial risk environment in which AIB operates
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and in a concise manner.
- Knowledge of financial markets, financial products and risk measurement techniques.
- Candidate will be a graduate in a business / finance discipline
