System Support Specialist (Coupa SME) – Strategic Sourcing

Location/Office Policy: Hybrid role: 3 days a week in office at Central Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18.

 

 

  • Drive process improvements across our Procure to Pay team
  • Recommend key areas for digital transformation and automation.
  • Achieve maximum utilisation of Coupa and Microsoft platforms

What is the Role:

The Coupa Sustainment team sits within AIB’s Strategic Sourcing area. The key purpose is to serve as the subject matter expert for the Coupa Procure-to-Pay (P2P) platform, supporting procurement lifecycle, automation, and compliance. You’ll lead the design, deployment, and optimisation of Coupa modules, ensuring efficient, transparent, and compliant procurement services. This is a pivotal role for those passionate about operational excellence and digital transformation.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Serve as the primary SME for Coupa P2P platform, supporting S2P and P2P processes.
  • Lead design, configuration, and deployment of Coupa modules (Procurement, Invoicing, Sourcing, Contracts, Projects, Supplier Management).
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal/external stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs and compliance.
  • Monitor system performance, identify enhancements, and implement integrations.
  • Manage Coupa release updates, testing, and change management.
  • Drive user adoption through training, documentation, and support.
  • Ensure data integrity, governance, and compliance.
  • Support procurement reporting and analytics.
  • Provide excellent customer service for procurement and payment processes.
  • Contribute to Strategic Sourcing team initiatives and promote AIB values.

What You Will Bring:

  • Demonstrable experience as a Coupa SME, Functional Consultant, or similar role in large/global procurement.
  • Deep understanding of procurement processes, S2P, P2P, contract lifecycle, and supplier onboarding.
  • Hands-on experience with Coupa modules, configuration, and system integrations (ERP, finance systems).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in change management, user training, and process improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a dynamic environment.
