What is the Role:

As a Treasury Credit Professional, Level 3, in the Treasury Corporate Credit team within Treasury, the role involves;

 

Working within a small team of lending professionals in a dynamic area to support the AIB Treasury function in the achievement of its business objectives. Treasury Corporate Credit is a discrete function within the wider Treasury Credit Business Unit. The role of the unit is to manage AIB’s Bank & Sovereign, Treasury Corporate and Structured Securities credit risk. The Treasury Corporate Credit team provides credit management support to the Fixed Income Investments Desk in relation to its Treasury Corporate Bond Portfolio and to dedicated Corporate Treasury teams in Dublin and London in relation to bilateral FX customer relationships.

 

 

Key Accountabilities;

  • Credit management of a portfolio of corporate counterparties in relation to Treasury's Bond Investment requirements or clients in relation to their Treasury product requirements.
  • Analysis of corporate entities for the purpose of preparation of credit applications to include financial, business and industry analysis and formulation of recommendation.
  • On-going monitoring of all counterparties and relevant market developments including review of trading updates/financials/corporate news and benchmarking against base cases etc. with a view to initiating any credit action if required.
  • Maintaining the underwriting standards and credit risk quality of the portfolio.
  • Presenting credit proposals to the relevant credit committees.

 

 

What you Will Bring ;

 

Please note that the following criteria forms the basis of your answers on the application form.

  1. 3+ years’ experience in credit risk or other banking/financial services environment.
  2. Working knowledge and understanding of financial statements and accounting.  Degree in a relevant discipline is desirable (e.g. commerce/Business/Banking (Institute of Bankers), Economics) and/or are undertaking a professional qualification such as accountancy or risk management.
  3. Ability to research and grasp an understanding of a company/new markets/industry sectors quickly and complete analysis of same with high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills with high level of communication and presentation skills.   
  5. Ability to act on own initiative and act decisively in a demanding environment
