A DAY IN THE LIFE

Mei Ou

‘Working in a friendly and supportive environment has made the transition from college to the professional world so easy. I’m always encouraged to speak up for myself and to seek help where needed. The rotation scheme provided by the AIB Graduate Programme gives me an opportunity to work in different functions of finance and to collaborate with various teams across the whole bank.

Pursing a professional qualification while working full-time seemed daunting at first, however, having a community of graduates who are sitting the same exams has made it much easier.”

Niall Enright

‘The AIB Graduate Programme has given me the opportunity to rotate across various business units working with the bank’s largest customers, on some of their biggest banking decisions. With both the practical on-the-job learning and training, the programme has enabled me to develop a broad range of skills.

The programme offers great exposure to the credit analysis process on exciting transactions both in Ireland and abroad. Pursuing professional qualifications is encouraged and the bank provides payment and study leave for qualifications such as QFA, ACA and CFA"

John Smith

“The graduate programme has given me exposure to a multitude of teams, areas, and senior leaders across AIB and enabled me to broaden my skillset through a range of different projects. The programme has also given me the opportunity to work with Pride Matters, AIB’s LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group, helping to create change both inside and outside of the organisation. It’s really encouraging to work somewhere that champions diversity and inclusion!”

CSR IN AIB

Volunteer Together We believe in making positive contributions to life in Ireland. We invest in initiatives that promote fundraising and volunteering to benefit local lives. Our social impact is our key focus and through ‘AIB Together’ partnerships we are backing initiatives such as Social Entrepreneurship together with Food Cloud and Soar. As part of our AIB together programme, each employee is entitled to two volunteering days per year.

D&I - Being a diverse and inclusive employer is an important part of the culture that we are continuing to develop. It helps to create a workplace that allows employees to be themselves and work at their best. We want to represent the society we live in and promote real diversity to reflect the customers we serve.
