This role is being offered on a Permanent basis.


In Retail FSG we have the opportunity for a Team Lead to lead the Collections Team. The role offers a strong development opportunity to lead a team who manage customers experiencing financial difficulty/hardship and for you to drive solutions that recover debt and minimise bank losses.

The Collections Team engage with customers to seek repayment of personal and SME loans, overdrafts, credit cards and mortgages. You will have the ability to assess customer’s financial position and determine the right solution for them. Where applicable you will be required to link in with other teams within Retail FSG to ensure a co-ordinated approach, professional and empathetic customer engagement to achieve maximum recovery.

You will need to show us that you can/have:

  1. Proven ability to maximise recoveries and minimise losses by dealing with customers financial situations through engagement and negotiation to reach optimum solution on all cases.
  2. Proven ability to work under pressure and deliver on challenging but achievable objectives with ability to utilise MI to manage end to end process of restructuring effectively.
  3. Evidence of taking a solution focused approach to both customer engagement and operationalism of a team.
  4. Demonstrated high levels of professionalism and customer service while managing cases in accordance with Credit Standards and Regulatory and Legislative policy.
  5. A positive team player willing to support and develop direct reports and others across the team and contribute to the development of an engaging and motivated team.


Please note: The Minimum Education requirements for entry to AIB is 5 GCSE passes (or equivalent), to include a pass in English and Maths. These 5 subjects must be achieved with a grade of A – C. Confirmation of this will be sought if successful for the role.
