Client services Customer Management is a brand new team set up to deliver a high level of customer service with regards to customer on-boarding and lifecycle and maintenance activities.

As this team is only at the beginning of its journey, this is an exciting and challenging role, working closely with the existing management to shape the new team to ensure it is operating efficiently in line with standard policies, procedures and processes, whilst delivering a high level of customer service and developing the individuals within the team to enable succession planning and career progression.


The role holder will be an energetic, solution focussed individual capable of maximising the performance of the team.

  • Deliver on quality customer experiences and professional customer engagements.
  • Provide customer service leadership, focusing on a “right first time approach” to all activities within your remit.
  • Display strong people leadership and embed a strong team ethos to make the department an attractive place to work.
  • Proactively review and challenge existing processes to maximise the customer experience journey.
  • Build good working relationships both with the team and internal stakeholders.
  • Act as a dependable, trustworthy leader and treat others in a fair and respectful way.
  • Ensure the team operates in a compliant manner in accordance with all legislative and audit requirements, and that operational risks are minimised.

  6. Ability to adapt to rapidly changing events and environments while accurately judging priorities and keeping track of details
  7. Evidence of good negotiation skills to reach agreements and create positive outcomes.
  8. Previous banking/operational experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
