About the Role:
The Energy, Climate Action and Infrastructure team was set up 4 years ago and is one of the fastest growing areas of the Bank. This is a unique opportunity for experienced individuals to join this ambitious, high performing team. The primary goal of the team is to lend to large scale renewables and infrastructure projects which directly contribute to Ireland's and Europe's climate action goals. The candidate will be required to assist the team assess opportunities and prepare credit applications and review writing, for a key growth area within AIB and the Irish economy. There are a number of portfolio and origination roles available
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Enhance relationships with new and existing customers with good communication and customer focus
- Form an integral part of the risk management culture in AIB and adherence to codes of conduct, laws and regulation
- Write credit papers for new business for consideration by the relevant Credit Authority as well as for annual reviews and transaction amendments
- Manage an existing portfolio of credit exposures within the Credit Policy framework of the Bank
- Manage and help develop more junior staff members
- Perform financial modelling analysis and run detailed sensitivity analysis.
- Communicate the impact and key risks and mitigants associated with same
- Ensure compliance and administration obligations are satisfied to a high degree
- Collaborate with other parts of AIB including AIB UK, Treasury and Operations Teams
What you will bring:
- Relevant 3rd level qualification
- 3+ years' experience within a similar area
- Strong Financial Analysis, Strong excel modelling skills, and Strong credit skills
- A proven awareness of sustainable lending
- Ability to manage and develop people
