The Role

Reporting to the Head of Payments Delivery, Payments Programme, the role holder will own the delivery of detailed business requirements, including functional and non-functional specifications based on the design output and architectural blueprint and aligned to current and future business needs. 

Defining an approach that correctly balances the demand from a regulatory, business and platform perspective that delivers a stable, compliant and competitive Payments Platform is the primary challenge of the role.



We’re looking for someone who:


  • Engage with key business partners and senior stakeholders in the definition of Payments requirements to ensure delivery of customer centric solutions, to meet the current business needs and future demands. 
  • Anticipate and respond to changing business priorities to ensure effective use of resources and alignment to the overall payments programme agenda.
  • Anticipate problems/issues, take necessary actions and manage conflicts through effective stakeholder management.
  • Lead coach and develop a high performing team of Business Change analysts in the delivery of a transformed, resilient Payments system.
  • Ensure engagements are aligned to the defined Delivery Framework and project deliverables are of high quality.



You will need to show us that you can/have:

  1. 10-15 years transformational change experience, with specific Payment, Regulatory, Business and Technical Payment Platform change delivery related experience required.
  2. Knowledge and change experience of payment Clearings (including SEPA CTs, SEPA DDs, CHAPS, FPS, BACS, Cross Border Swift & Target2) as well as business governance and operations.
  3. Strong people management and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex issues and strategy to audiences at senior levels within the bank.
  4. Systems Thinking - the ability to see how parts interact with the whole (big picture thinking).
  5. Strong prioritisations skills with experienced delivery of Programme and Change Management methodologies (agile/waterfall, Business Analysis best practices).
