Location: Dublin, IE

Company: Allied Irish Bank

Role:  Consumer Graduate Programme

Location: Primarily Dublin

Who you are?

You are an ambitious recent graduate or final year student with a keen interest in acquiring a breadth of experience in an organisation that has an ambition to be at the heart of its customers’ financial lives.

You’re not necessarily a finance, maths or business graduate - we want to hear from people with a broad and diverse background that matches the broad and diverse nature of our customers.  You’re someone who is energised by the thought of working with customers to help them achieve their financial dreams whether that be in person, over the phone or through one of our award winning apps.

If that sounds like you, then you’re someone we want to talk to…

But who we are?

AIB is a dynamic, diverse and fun place to work. We are changing from the inside out to become a bank people can believe in. And by people, we mean our employees as well as our customers.

Recently a new Consumer Business has been established in AIB and we are looking for Graduates to work on this team. The Consumer team has responsibility for the management and development of the Bank’s consumer banking strategy, proposition and product portfolio (covering lending, deposits, savings, cards, insurances, daily banking and payments), delivering a market leading strategy that will ensure sustainable profitability and growth for AIB and meet the needs of customers.

Our Graduate Training and Development programme has been designed to help you develop the behaviours that will accelerate your growth throughout the programme and beyond. We offer rotations into different areas and different roles, providing you with plenty of opportunities to expand your experience, your knowledge and build your network across the organisation.

 What’s in it for you?

  • A two-year training programme
  • Full support in achieving your professional banking qualification (QFA)
  • A structured graduate development programme that will build your day-to-day skills and start to develop your leadership skills for the future
  • An assigned mentor to support you throughout the duration of the programme
  • The opportunity to work with experienced professionals as the bank goes through an exciting period of change and growth

About Rotations

In our graduate programme the emphasis is very much on rotations and therefore we are looking for dynamic graduates who like to be challenged and learn quickly. Each graduate will rotate in areas of the business such as:

  • Digital Innovation
  • Customer Strategy & Design
  • Investments & Protection

A note from a current Grad

“An AIB Graduate Programme is the perfect launch pad for your career, particularly if you are still exploring the right route for your own career. The programme rotations mean you can gain insights into different areas of what is a growing, diverse business”

Paige Fitzgibbon, Current AIB Consumer Graduate

What You’ll need

  • An expected minimum 2.2 Honours Degree (also a pass in English and Maths at either Ordinary or Honours Level in Leaving Certificate or equivalent exam)
  • Evidence of excellent customer relationship skills, ability to engage with customers and represent AIB with expertise
  • Strong evidence of communication and interpersonal skills
  • Candidates must be fully authorised to work in Ireland or hold a valid work permit for the full duration of the contract. Unfortunately we are not in a position to provide sponsorship for this role.
