About the Role:
The Policy Oversight team is a dynamic and highly motivated team established to ensure oversight of the embedding and compliance with all in scope group policy/frameworks (excluding Credit Policy) across Retail Banking.
The team aspires to make a real difference to the reporting of First line risk culture and to drive better outcomes for our customers, staff, and business. It provides risk reporting and oversight to Retail SMT, Retail Governance fora and key senior stakeholders on the Retail Banking risk profile and threat horizon.
A vacancy now exists for the role of First Line Risk Management Reporting support.
This is an exciting opportunity to support risk reporting activity, from beginning to end whilst building knowledge on risk and data disciplines, as well as knowledge of key processes in front line areas across Retail Banking.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Support the delivery and co-ordination of the Policy Oversight Agenda
- Ownership of the Relationship with Risk on policy, oversight and evidencing
- Streamline of the policy implementation, monitoring and evidencing process
- Driving improved data quality through role in established data governance forum
- Chair and secretariat of the forum delivering policy change initiatives
- Ownership of the relationship with the Group Privacy Office overseeing Records Management
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Support the Delivery of Policy agenda activities across Retail business units
- Track the risk planning activities, review & reporting for assigned business areas
- Analyse and make decisions on the content of risk reports and escalate complex risk exceptions to the appropriate person.
- Problem solve and follow established procedures and operate within defined risk / first line framework and methodology, under supervision.
- Collaborate and operate across multiple business units, participate with colleagues in the team and support delivery of first line risk reporting work.
- Share information with colleagues and business units under review and explain any first line risk reporting exceptions to the business
- Champion a Customer First culture in support of AIB’s Purpose, strategic ambition and Brand Values, by ensuring processes and procedures consistently promote good outcomes for all our customers.
What you will bring:
- Experience in a change, reporting, risk and/or data qualification/background
- Perform well as part of a highly engaged and motivated risk reporting team.
- Review and interpret data to identify risk gaps and work to close or escalate to business management for further investigation.
- Can work on own initiative and build strong relationships with Customers and Colleagues
- Communicate issues arising in a coherent and timely manner.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of applicable risk frameworks and methodologies.
- Good Working knowledge of MS products including Excel and PowerPoint
