The First Line Risk team is a dynamic and highly motivated team which strives to make a real difference to first line risk culture and drive better outcomes for our customers, staff and business.

 

About the Role:

The team has a challenging remit which includes the delivery of RCA reviews, RAS reviews, RAS monthly MI metrics and policy reviews that provide assurance to COO SMT Members that their business is operating in a controlled and sustainable manner.

A vacancy now exists for the role of First Line Risk Management Analyst.  This is an exciting opportunity to carry out risk management activities, from beginning to end whilst building knowledge on risk management disciplines, as well as knowledge of key processes in first line areas across COO.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting the RCA process within COO with senior stakeholders. Providing review and challenge on the RCA returns and management of relating attestations.
  • Co-ordination and support of the COO Risk Appetite Statement including an annual review of the Segment RAS to ensure alignment with the Group RAS.
  • Monitoring of the monthly COO RAS Metrics, reporting and escalating as required.
  • Supporting management with the IAM process within COO, tracking processes and remediation actions to completion.
  • Assisting with the review and update of Group policies and COO procedures and assessing impact within COO.
  • Engagement through the building and maintaining of strong working relationships across multiple business units and lines of defence.

 

 

What you will bring:

 

  1. Proven experience of Risk Management in a Banking environment and associated risks, with a clear understanding and knowledge of risk management and audit methodologies.
  2. Have a proven understanding and experience of financial services industry products and regulations, specific knowledge of areas within COO: Third Party Management, Financial Crime, Change and Operations would be an advantage. 
  3. Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver results to tight and competing deadlines.
  4. Be a strong team player with the proven ability to work with others to accomplish common objectives.
