About the Role:

The First Line Risk Management & Assurance team within Group Resilience is responsible for high quality risk management, assurance testing, and regulatory engagement across the Operations and Business Services (OBS) function.

 

The Regulatory Engagement and Risk Analyst plays a crucial role on the team by supporting the delivery of high-quality regulatory engagement and assurance / risk reviews, with support from the Regulatory Engagement Manager and engagement with stakeholders across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct quality assurance on responses prepared for the regulator to ensure that they are consistent, timely and relevant and meet regulatory expectations.
  • Coordinate and track regulatory inspection requests and risk mitigation plans.
  • Produce briefing packs for senior stakeholder meetings with regulators.
  • Ongoing Stakeholder management with teams across the organisation.
  • Present key regulatory updates at team meetings to keep colleagues abreast of priorities.
  • Collate MI for presentation at Governance Committees.
  • Maintain a schedule of regulatory requests, timelines, and documentation.
  • Lead and oversee the execution of assurance reviews and/or risk and control assessments when required. 
  • Actively build relationships throughout AIB to keep abreast of best practices and risk / regulatory developments.
  • Be a self-starter with the energy and drive to learn to use technology to improve processes and solve problems under their own direction.

 

What you will bring : 

 

  • 3 + years’ direct experience in a financial services risk and control environment, in a regulatory engagement, risk, or audit role.
  • Firm understanding of the regulatory environment in which AIB operates.
  • Knowledge of risk management and audit methodologies.
  • The ability to plan, prioritise and execute activities in a timely manner whilst dealing with competing priorities.
  • Ability to communicate and present to senior stakeholders.
