In AIB the Chief Data Office sits within the Data & Analytics Department. Within the Chief Data Office the Regulatory Engagement team oversees and coordinates Regulatory engagements and inspections for Data & Analytics. The team also supports other departments in the Bank who have regulatory inspections containing Data elements.


The team communicates with our Regulators, the Central Bank of Ireland, the Joint Supervisory Team, and relevant UK and US regulators. It’s a working environment that changes as the regulation changes. This keeps things interesting.


The Regulatory Engagement team also reviews regulatory guidelines and directives to ensure the relevant requirements relating to Data are adhered to.


We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Track to closure action plans to address any findings made by regulators.  
  • Help review regulatory guidelines in preparation for inspections  
  • Support the assessment of new legal, regulatory and corporate requirements that impact Data & Analytics
  • Assist in the coordination of regulatory inspections for Data & Analytics and provide support for wider AIB inspections with Data elements
  • Coordinate the material for walkthroughs and query responses for onsite inspection teams.
  • Assist in preparation and management of other types of regulatory documents and submissions when required
  • Assist in the production of key reports and metrics for Senior Management and Board
  • Embed a strong awareness across Data & Analytics of our compliance obligations and responsibilities, and promoting a strong conduct and customer focus




You will need to show us that you:


  • A minimum of two years’ practical experience in a regulatory compliance role in the financial services industry. Consideration will also be given to candidates with a legal, risk management, corporate governance, operations or similar background, who can demonstrate a good understanding of regulatory requirements as they apply to the financial services sector, preferably in the life assurance industry

Strong written and oral communications and experience presenting to senior st

  • stakeholders.
  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in Business Studies, Compliance/Law or IT with Business such as BIS.
  • Experience of Data Quality frameworks or Compliance for Data Warehousing/IT an advantage
