Summary of role:
The Quantitative Team in Group ALM is a critical 1st line function within AIB’s Finance segment. The team supports valuation of complex financial instruments and measurement of market risk for management and capital adequacy purposes. This role as part of the Quantitative team, is responsible for SACCR (regulatory measurement of credit risk on derivatives) and also for CRR2 measurement of market risk. The Regulatory Risk Manager will work closely with other quantitative colleagues in Group ALM, with Treasury colleagues and with Regulatory Reporting colleagues in Finance to ensure regulatory compliance in measurement and reporting of market and derivatives credit risk. 


We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has extensive experience in working collaboratively in a team of analysts and interacting with other staff across areas such as finance, risk and treasury. 
  • Has experience of Banking Regulation particularly as it pertains to market and credit risk
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to organise their time and work on multiple tasks.
  • Committed team player with very good communication, interpersonal and team skills. 
  • Confident, proactive, dependable and organised, with a focused attitude towards work. 
  • Strong analytical skills, risk management knowledge and expertise. 
    Ability to stay composed and resilient under pressure.

You will need to show us that you can/have:

  • Experience working within a quantitative/risk area. This would typically have been gained in areas such as Risk, Risk Reporting, Treasury, Model Development, ALM or Finance area. 
  • Knowledge of banking regulation e.g. CRD/CRR and in particular the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book and SACCR
  • A Numerical Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Maths, Physics, Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance) with a professional qualification such as FRM/CFA/ALMA or similar desirable. 
  • Experience of delivering change with Financial Services e.g. changing reports or adapting systems to comply with regulatory updates, business user testing of system updates or upgrades
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage workload efficiently.
