This role is being offered on a Permanent basis.

 

Summary of the role:

AIB Group has an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) Policy which manages money laundering and terrorist financing risk across the Group. The Financial Crime team sits within the “First Line of Defence” (1LOD) against money laundering and terrorist financing. 1LOD comprises individuals and business units who own and manage their AML/CFT and Sanction risks and related controls throughout the course of their day-to-day operations in line with the AML and CFT Policy.

Our purpose is to protect our customers and society from organised crime, terrorism, trafficking and other criminal activities, through our commitment to the prevention and detection of money laundering.

 

Our primary focus is to support the first line business areas in managing their AML/CFT and Sanction risks and obligations in line with AIB Policy & Standards. We provide practical support and advice on AML/CFT and Sanction related issues directly to first line business areas and we are responsible for working with business areas to manage the AML/CFT and Sanction risk over the customer lifecycle.

You will need to show us that you can/have:

  • Experience working in a customer engagement role, a financial crime prevention role, or an operations and control area supporting a customer facing unit.
  • Strong analytical skills and a clear thinker with the ability to analyse and report in a clear, concise and effective manner to all levels, delivering quality results in line with deadlines.
  • Experience in dealing with external and/or internal customers and ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, in a range of situations
  • Demonstrate evidence of problem solving and decision making skills together with excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organised with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and varied decision making scenarios and who is capable of working on their own initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with evidence of collaborating with colleagues to successfully deliver business objectives.
