Location: AIB, Central Park, Leopardstown. (Remote Working Initially- we will have a hybrid approach to working, which will include a blend of onsite and remote working)


This role is being offered on a permanent basis.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Take a lead role in the development of MI which supports proactive assistance for customers at risk of entering financial distress or who require support through forbearance.
  • Become a subject matter expert on methodologies for reporting of Non-Performing Exposures and Forbearance, supporting the Bank’s regular engagements with external stakeholders.
  • Convert data into management information and insight. Work with and interpret variety of data sets to develop the insight that solves problems and identifies business opportunities.
  • Identify and drive scalable solutions for building and automating reports, dashboards to support strategic MI and customer contact strategies/campaigns. Both as indicated by senior management and using their initiative in response to key indicators / economic circumstances.
  • Define, implement and lead on robust data management, reporting processes and best practice across the Retail Portfolio team.
  • Communicate data-driven results and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop and motivate a team of analysts to meet business objectives, ensuring technical guidance and coaching is provided
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology for process improvement and skills transfer to other members of the team.
  • Be a strong team player with the proven ability to work with others to accomplish common objectives.
  • Be a self-starter with the energy and drive to learn to use technology to improve processes and solve problems under their own direction.
  • Drive awareness of the importance and value of quality data to ensure actions are driven by fact-based insight.

You will need to show us that you can/have:


  1. 4+ years data analyst experience within financial services organisation (bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science/information systems/ engineering or maths would be desirable).
  2. Passionate about analytics and reporting. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong knowledge of SQL required. Good understanding for database concepts and understanding of structures desired.
  3. Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative and strong attention to detail, completing tasks to a very high degree of accuracy.
  4. Strong relationship builder and capable of credibly managing internal stakeholders including senior management.
  5. Experience with one or more BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView and delivering/communicating information to a variety of stakeholders.
