About the Role:
We are inviting applications for a team-lead position in Data Protection Legal within AIB’s Legal, Corporate Governance & Customer Care Function. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a 3-person team working, reporting directly to the Head of Products and Data Protection Legal. You will be leading a high performing team that works in a cutting-edge area of law to support adherence to data protection values and obligations and AIB’s digitisation agenda. The role requires in-depth knowledge of data protection and privacy laws, strong judgment and leadership skills and the ability to understand business and technology drivers.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- A data protection & privacy law specialisation.
- Knowledge of and interest in privacy developments within the financial services market.
- An awareness of and interest in AIB’s digitisation agenda.
- Strong collaboration, influencing and innovation skills.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and provide support to two experienced senior lawyers; and
- A strategic mindset.
What you will bring:
- A solicitor qualified to practise in Ireland with minimum 5 years’ PQE with data protection/privacy law.
- Able to lead a team, work efficiently and manage competing priorities.
- Able to operate strategically.
