Summary of role:

In Financial Control our key objective is to support the business, through the delivery of a comprehensive accounting service to all areas of the organisation, which underpins and enables AIB’s strategic goals. The Financial Control team within Finance, consists of a number of small, dynamic and highly motivated teams who view inclusion & diversity, wellbeing and ongoing learning & development as key enablers to help our business grow and deliver AIB’s strategic and financial objectives.

 

The Treasury Transaction Reporting team is responsible delivering on-going compliance with the key daily transaction reporting regulations, EMIR, MiFID II, MMSR and SFTR. As the regulatory landscape becomes more data centric, we are looking for individuals who understand the importance of the operational aspects of daily reporting, data quality and controls and data lineage. The team operate in a dynamic, changing environment and the successful candidate will have exposure to all aspects of the treasury business.

  

A vacancy currently exists at Level 3 within the Financial Control area.  Applications are now invited from experienced qualified candidates who can demonstrate ability in the Behavioural and Technical capabilities reflected below.

 

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Operate and review the transaction reporting processes on a daily basis, ensuring compliance with controls that minimise operational risk.
  • Develop strong treasury product knowledge and understanding of how trades are booked on core treasury system and data points are reflected.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and automation to enhance the productivity and operational efficiency of the team. 
  • Build relationships and interact effectively with all levels throughout Finance, Treasury, compliance, legal, operations and both internal and external technology partners.
  • Keep up to date with new and evolving regulation in transaction reporting, emerging issues and trends, and assess the implications on reporting requirements.
  • On-going engagement with the ECB with regards MMSR reporting and the €STR benchmark rate calculation.

You will need to show us that you can/have:

 

  1. Banking experience with understanding of AIB’s business model, products, and financial / regulatory reporting suite.
  2. The ability to analyse and interpret regulation to understand business requirements and assist in the build of streamlined, automated reporting solutions.
  3. Results driven with ability to problem solve, manage competing priorities and to deliver against tight deadlines

and maintain a strong oversight and control environment.

  1. Strong core business skills including communication and influencing, stakeholder management and presentation skill.
  2. Strong excel and VBA knowledge is a plus.
