UK Finance is one of the key support and control functions for AIB UK.  UK Finance delivers financial and regulatory accounts for external reporting and management accounts, forecasts, plans and scenarios for AIB UK Leadership Team, Board & Stakeholders. UK Finance undertakes to support and challenge the business in ensuring that the chosen business strategies deliver the required shareholder value at an acceptable level of risk.

As part of the Finance Transformation programme, production of UK financial and regulatory reporting is now being undertaken by Dublin. This means UK Finance will now be focused on driving value added services for the UK Business and becoming the go-to partner and critical friend  for the UK business regarding Financial and regulatory advice.



Who you are: 


  • Preparation of various Monthly Reporting packs for UK plc Board, U.K. SMT and Divisions, including commentary and business analysis on variances to plan and trends
  • Assist in further developing reporting and MI to provide greater insight to the business (e.g. development of Dashboards, additional analysis as required by the business, etc.)
  • Developing, improve and build efficiencies within various reporting packs
  • Assist in the development of monthly cost reporting, including cost management/ownership with members of UK SMT
  • Support the review and tracking of UK capital expenditure against budget
  • Assisting Finance Business Partner in supporting various areas of the business
  • Supporting the planning process, including the preparation of related MI
  • Supporting the forecasting process, and assist in the development of a monthly rolling reforecasts
  • Engaging with colleagues in group finance to ensure monthly results are correct and complete, ensuring Group timetable is adhered to.
  • Ad hoc projects and requests as required
  • Assisting in the delivering a “value add” Finance function


What you'll need: 

  • Studying towards an Accountancy Qualification with one of the following bodies:
    • Association of Certified Chartered Accountants
    • Chartered Institute of Management Accountants
    • Institute of Chartered Accountants
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Experience in reporting, data analysis, budgeting and financial forecasting would be beneficial
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and persistence in understanding data
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and innate problem solving skills
  • Creative eye for presentations/reporting
  • Must be organised and detail orientated
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work proactively and handling multiple projects concurrently
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability and confidence to effectively interact with all areas of the business and across all geographical locations of the organisation
  • Ability to work well with others in a demanding environment
