Within AIB, the Customer Advisor role is an exciting role in the AIB Branch which will give you a real opportunity to influence AIB’s future.  This will be a fast paced environment where high energy levels, passion for delivering excellent customer experiences and driving business performance are critical for success.  You will be a visible presence on the branch floor, delivering a more personal customer experience.  Your success in the role could lead to other exciting opportunities for you in AIB and we want to support you, whether this be through supporting you to complete your QFA diploma or through your ongoing development.

This is a full-time position which will require working business hours on Monday to Friday, flexibility may be required depending on location.


Your next challenge

  • Responsible for driving an excellent customer experience and achieving agreed service standards, working with customers to provide suitable banking options
  • Be the escalation point for any issues, ensuring a positive customer experience
  • Have an innovative approach to your role, always seeking ways to make improvements or suggestions to create better solutions
  • Develop key relationships in the bank whilst acting as a promoter of the AIB brand in a competitive market
  • Contribute to and promote an open and engaging environment where your colleagues can perform at their best
  • Complete and pass MCC accreditation (APA Loans) within your first 6 months in the role


What you’ll need


  • Evidence of excellent customer relationship skills, ability to engage with customers and represent AIB with expertise
  • An interest in technology and the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies on desktop, mobile and tablet platforms
  • 6–12 months recent customer service experience demonstrating a high level of customer service in every customer interaction
  • Strong evidence of communication and interpersonal skills
  • A minimum of 360 points in the Leaving Certificate to include a pass in English and Maths at either Ordinary or Honours Level (or equivalent) OR a 2.2 Honours degree (Level 8)
